Just not a big Robby fan.  He is an amazing vocalist for background vocals and certainly the Goos wouldn't be goo's without him, but other than January Friend, I usually go to the next track.  He seems like a very cool guy and is certainly very talented!  Sorry! :-/

Tryin' to be PC here.  I LOVE ROBBY!  I LOVE GOO!  I guess Mike needs to sing a bit too to be fair here.  I know that Robby was originally the voice of Goo and encouraged John to sing and that alone proves their "good guys" image for me.  I don't want to slam the guy  ;D!

My fav robby songs are January Friend, Smash, Tucked away, and you never know....he did an awsome job on the live in buffalo CD..

LOL! �Robby's vocals are definately an "aquired taste" I love him to death. After the Dearborn concert, my husband said "Robby is an AWESOME bassist, but why does he scream when he sings?" Well, that's just Robby. � ;)

hey dream away- Yeah, I'm a "new goo" kind of gal.  I have all the CD's and can totally see myself loving the punkier stuff when I was in college and loving Westerberg (sp??)in the Replacements, V-Femmes, & early REM.  Robby singing is definitely the music in the background when envisioning myself slam dancing after 1/2 a keg of beer when I was 19.  It's not that I can't appreciate or really dislike Robby's vocals, I just prefer the raspy, yet less "yelling" vocals of John as lead Goo.  Dizzy would be a dud, the Black Balloon would deflate and Slide would slip away if Robby wasn't there. :kookoo:

Hey, have you guys heard "22 seconds"?
Their old drummer sings that one. Its on the Hold Me Up record. Umm, i don't think its a very good song, but we played on stage once and everyone seemed to like it.

lol..yeah that was just weird to hear him sing. very monotonous.. "i feel so important today and i wish i didn't." don't really know what that was all about but hey, it's the Goos so i respect it.

I'm with some of the others though, I prefer John's voice, but Robby has grown on me as time progressed.   I LOVE his attitude, and his bass playing, vocally...he needs work.

Mine is a tie between "Up, Up, Up" and "Another Second Time Around" - both of which are just awesome, but it seems are in the minority of 'fave Robby tunes'.

I just love how Robby's songs usually have such a happy, positive vibe.  If I ever need to shift from my cynical view on life - I spin some Robby!   ;D

Too many to list! Robby songs are my favorites! Tucked Away is my all-time favorite! Smash, Up, Up, Up, Lucky Star, January Friend, Domino, Already There, Burnin' Up, Impersonal*ty, Laughing, So Long, Stand Alone [never released], Ya Never Know, Road To Salinas, Amigone, Out of The Red, Slave Girl! I've never heard a Robby song that I didn't like, or couldn't rock out to. I could never pick just one. :nanner:
