Hey everyone it's been sorta quiet here at WOG so I thought we could do a thread. O.K who has been to a Goo concert and how did it go???? I haven't been to one YET BUT I WILL!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D :nanner:

i haven't been to one yet but i'm going to!the only concerts i have seen was the lib (on my tvand i got lib for Christmas).a show they did in new york on halloween (on my tv i bought it off ebay)and parts of concerts that i have on my computer.but it was still awesome.

I saw them a few times on the Gutterflower tour, so that was cool!

I think my favorite show was the show in August at the Illinois State Fair. John had some funny things to say that night and even though my seats were crap (but free because i won them from the radio station) i still had a lot of fun!

As a veteran of many a Goo shows, I would like to say that each and every one is special and different. There is nothing quite like the energy from the crowd feeding off the band. Especially awesome is watching Robby bopping around in his stocking feet... if only someone could bottle up all that energy!

I have seen them 7 times live and I am having serious withdrawal. I can't wait for them to tour again. I am saving a lot of my vacation time at work for Goo Goo Dolls concerts!!!!

I have to say that with the 4th of July coming up my symptoms of serious withdrawal are getting worse and worse. I have no idea how I am going to make it through next Monday. LOL

Maybe I should put on the same outfit and stand outside...I mean it's Florida...it rains everyday in the summer!! It's raining right NOW! LOL So I can just put on the LIB CD stand in the rain and pretend. Yeah...no. *whine*

They better hurry with that new record before the little men in the white coats come to get me.

Seriously, all of the shows have been awesome. Buffalo, NYE at Mandalay Bay and Atlanta's On the Bricks stand out. Though 3rd row at the Summer's End show was pretty terrific.

Oddest show has to be the Dale Earnhardt concert. The oddest mix of Nascar, country music fans and...well, I will just say "pickup truck owners" at a festival with an endless supply of beer was pretty interesting. Complete with an electrical storm and a torrential downpour. Goo and the rain....seriously...I could get addicted to that.

OH...but I can't forget driving all night from Atlanta to Tunica to see them two nights in a row and having Robby throw a Guitar pick up to me at the end of the show....*sigh*

Okay, now I am happy with the memories but miss them even more. :love:

I will absolutely positively DIE if i don't see them in concert and i hope i'll get close i wanna be so close that Johnny could sling sweat on me. :hahaha: :hahaha:

Ah yes, I had Robby hand me a guitar pick while front row during a show. Some guy standing next to me got all jealous and I told him to hold his hand out, and I motioned for Robby to give him one, but he walked back over and handed me another one! lol. Yes, I gave it to the dude!

I saw the Dolls do a three-song instore signing and then saw them play at a rock festival the next day on the Gutterflower tour.

It was awesome, the sun was about to set and they went off!!! it was perfect.

Lol it's been almost three years since they've been here, to the guys: TOUR SOON!!! lol

i don't know if i'd be considered a veteran as i've seen them 4 times... but you're right! each show has a special memory!!

I was there too! :nanner:

I saw them at the Toombul instore, M-One Brisbane, M-One Sydney & M-One Melbourne.
That was just cuuurraaaazzzzyyyyy!

I'd also seen them way back in '99 when they toured Australia for the first time.

*sigh*

:thinkin: Let's see....I've been a fan of the Goos since Name but never saw them live until August 2002. After that I saw them every chance I could get. So, since then I've seen them 2x on the Gutterflower tour as a headliner and 2x with Bon Jovi and then again for the private show.

And....I'll be seeing them in 11 days!!! �:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

All their shows are great. They just have a fantastic live energy that leaves you wanting more. My favorite show would have to be when I saw them in Grand Rapids, MI at the DeltaPlex in November 2002. �The private show was pretty fantastic too.

ME TOO!

But its like 52 days or so until I MIGHT get the chance to see them a second time. UGH, its killing me! The one time I KNOW I could go, I wont get tickets! >:(
