It was awesome! The guys were really really sweet. :-* I framed the shirt I wore when I met them cuz John and Robby hugged me, haha sounds nuts I know but oh well! I have the whole encounter on my Goo site, however I've revamping the site so you can't read it right now.

July 25, 2003

It was after the Today Show in NYC, they did a signing at Best Buy. I only got to talk to them for like 3 seconds, but I had made a poster for the show (which got on TV) and Johnny asked if I drew it and I said 'YES!' and he said "that's really good!" and I smiled like a tard and they signed the poster and I shook all their hands and was couldn't stop smiling like a tard for like 3 weeks after that. Love the Goo.

Hopefully on the next tour I'll get to meet them again and actually come up with something interesting to say.

August 25, 2003

I met John and Robby after the Hampton Beach show, got a hug from Robby and cheek kisses from both of them. I got my goo photo album signed and gave Robby this cool hat, which he actually wore, even though it was only for a few minutes. And I got to have a little mini-chat with John and I made him laugh. No pics, but it was awesome!

July 3, 2004

I met Mike while out to dinner @ Duff's. He came and sat at my table and we had a very short chat and got a picture. He signed my napkin, and you can actually see him doing so in the GALB video.

I've met them on several occasions over the past 12 years. Last time was the best though...while they were in town for the show with Bon Jovi, my friend and I were out at a local bar, and John & Robby were there. We talked to both of them for a while and took some pictures...it was so incredible!!

i met them all twice... once back in the ABNG days and then during the Gutterflower tour. really nice guys... Robby is extremely nice... Mike's a quiet sort of guy. ok... i have to get going on the meowing... John is absolutely gorgeous... i mean � :o �i honestly have never seen such a good looking man. he's blessed. and i've never been tongue tied and flustered with a man as bad i was with him. i'd suffocate the poor guy mauling him to death if he was mine.

I met them in Hampton too!!!! It was the one and only time I have met them, but it was so awesome! I love them.

my husband and i met john and robby back in 2000. stayed at the same hotel on the same floor. they are nice down to earth guys. i thanked them for their song "long way down" b/c it helped me a/f the stroke. the only reget i have is not using the camera or pen and paper i had with me, but at the time i felt it would have ruined us just talking together like friends.

I met Robby & Mike after a concert back in '99. :thumbsup: Then I met John (and Mike again) in March '03 <--- the best day in my life. It was in a restaurant. :drama: Leaves no time to "rehearse" your conversation...

i think there was only two occasions that i went to a goo show/event and did not meet them. i cant just see the show i have to have it all- i know greedy, but i love them too much. i love having chats with robbie, hugs and kisses from John and laughing at jokes with mike.

oh please oh please start the tour process again lol

I met them at the Meet and Greet show in Buffalo in 2004. I would have a photo with the band but it didn't come out...oh the pain of not having my once in a life time photo with the band....

I met them all last year June 30th 2004 at the Private Buffalo show. I had my picture taken with all of them. I met them and shook all their hands. I was absolutely flustered when I met them. And, I don't usually get star struck. I didn't want to meet them because they're stars but rather what their music means to me and how it impacts my life. Standing in the meet and greet line just left me completely brain dead ... I was devoid of all intelligent thought. I managed to tell them all "nice to meet you" and that was it. I even forgot my name. Ha Ha ... I hope to redeem myself at some point in my life.

I've met all three once (Minneapolis, MN at the Northrop Auditorium. Wow, it will be three years tomorrow . . .). It was super, super great to meet them. Then technically, I said hey to Mike at the Sioux Falls, SD show a bit over a year later, but I felt so pathetic that I prefer not to count it. That's all so far . . .

I totally know that feeling! Had the very same thing happen to me when I first met John Rzeznik.
I literally gagged on "Hi" and my hand was stiff as a board when I shook it.
And instead of talking to him, I just stared at him constantly, even when he was talking to other people. It was like my eyes were stuck on some sort of tractor beam......

Thankfully, the second time around, I wasn't as stupefied and managed to at least hold a conversation!

Hey thats probably what I would have said too...or been like!!!! I go on and on about wanting to meet them but inside I FEAR doing so! I am not 1 who likes to put themselve in a position of huge embarrassment or simply saying.....making a complete FOOL of myself.

I'm afraid that if I met them they would think I was nutz, 2 cents short a dollar, needed a 'shrink', smoke'n something, had a few too many....needed a life........OR SOMETHING. I cant bare the thought of being thought of oddly. SO, I will just stand on the sidelines and ADMIRE them and all you that have that great opportunity of saying what I wish I could! :-*

I have met them all.
I met them the first time on may 25th 02 in Tulsa Oklahoma. I told Robby my WOG screen name and he said he knew who I was and read my posts everyday. I was totally shocked. He hugged me and started talking to me like I was an old friend. kinda ifnoring others around us. When I met Joh that night I was nervous. I kept letting people go ahead of me. I had my guitar with me that once belonged to him so that was the ice breaker. He started talking to me first. I got a hug and a kiss on the cheek. Mike rocked too. He made me look reallt short because hes so darn tall.
Two months later I met Robby again after the taping of Big Machine on leno. We saw him coming out of the parking lot in his car. (VW BUG) He recognized me and said "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" I laughed and then told him the whole story of visiting family and talking my aunt and cousin into going to the taping. He thought that was cool and signed my wet seal banner.
In Sept of that same year I met Mike in Stillwater oklahoma. He came out for a few minutes and signed my wet seal banner.
The in August of 2003 I met John again in Tunica. He actually sat in the lobby area where we were and even went to the little bar to buy his own beer and said hello to all of us. I had mt wet eal banner with me (that thing was a pain to lug around,lol) and finally when he was getting ready to leave everyone kept saying just go ask him to sign it. Decaf mike kept telling poeple no autographs but when I went up there and unrolled that banner John told hiim that it was ok and to give him a pen. I twas a tab embarrassed because I was in my pajamas. I didn't think I would met anyone that night.
So anyway thats my stories.

I met them at the free show with Micheal Moore in Columbus. It all happened really fast and I didn't know what happened until I got in the car and was like " Holy sh!t- I just met the Goo Goo Dolls"

I've been lucky enough to meet them too. I was nervous but I just took a deep breath and said hello. They are actually very easy to talk to if you can manage to get any words out ::) and that can be more difficult than you would think.
If you get the chance to meet them, just remember that they are most likely used to fans being giddy or silly so don't give up. If you get a little flustered just take a deep breath and give it a try...it's definitely worth it!

I've met them all a few times...and I still can't believe it.

Met John and got an autograph after the Oxygen show.

Met all of them in Sioux Falls because they stayed at the same hotel. I got autographs & pix from John and Greg that time. Greg's girlfriend Anna was very nice, too. I was so happy to be able to tell Greg that I thought he was an excellent musician, and that he added so much to the live show. He's wonderful! I saw Jason and his wife Amy but they were eating in the restaurant and there was no way we were going to bother them.

At the Sioux Falls show we were in the front row. I was bouncing up and down and managed to give Robby a Pez. When he took it from me, he SQUEEZED my hand and held it for a second! As if that weren't enough, later on in the show instead of flicking a pick at me, he SLID IT into my outstretched hand!!! I was just beside myself! LOL I didn't think that ANYthing could top that, but then...

I met Robby in Tunica in the hotel lobby-got hugs, a kiss, autograph AND a pic! *THUD* Afterwards I felt like I was on crack or something because I was literally in a daze and DIZZY! :D That was the same night Fuelie got her banner signed. I also talked to Jason right before the Tunica show-he was looking for some food! Then the very next day, I saw Robby and Jason at the airport in the terminal right across from mine. They were flying to the Hampton Beach show. Robby recognized me! and I got another pic with him and one with Jason, plus J's autograph.

The last time was at the meet and greet at the private show in Buffalo last year. Hugs all around, plus each attendee got either an autographed pic or Gutterflower album flat.

Meeting them was so surreal...and yes, I totally forgot to introduce myself "blubububububb" is how I'm sure I sounded when I spoke! To those who haven't met them yet...there's always the next tour. Timing is everything!

I have spoken very briefy to John (a few words), Robby a few times (though I don't think he remembers any of our meetings, he may remember my face...I don't think he knows who I am or that we have spoken before. I have stolen hugs from Robby on a couple of those occasions..well I asked..I guess I didn't steal them. I have stood next to Mike and briefly said a few words while getting his autograph or a photo with him. They have all been very friendly to me. The meetings meant alot to me...

lol. it was probably only a few of us. i'm a really big perv so that's just how my thought process works. lol. i think you can contact Eva @ [email protected] and ask her to change it. elsewise, i don't know how you can change your username. sorry. maybe someone else does. �:-/ i think you should keep it. it's funny and unique. ;)

I've met them on several occasions in different settings. The first meeting with Robby sticks out as memorable because it was at the taping of Storytellers, and he came up to me and said he knew me, he recognized me from my picture here at WOG (I used to have my photo instead of a martini glass as my picture). I was tongue-tied and just patted him on the shoulder with a nervous laugh and walked away. He has always remembered me after that, and talking with him has gotten easier. He is awesome. John is much weirder to talk to, and Mike is just like a regular guy, and I mean that in a good way.

Rode with Mike in an elevator at the Palms in Vegas a couple years back. When he got off, I told my husband who he was...and he started laughing, because he almost said to Mike, at least I'm not going to be the only guy at the concert tonight. THAT would have been a little embarrassing...
