I just happened to be listening to our local radio station that happens to be VERY Goo friendly and what do I hear? A MAJOR advertisement for the Goos playing in conjunction with the PGA on the 18th green. All the while Slide, Sympathy, etc. are playing in the background. It's a good minute long advertisement and they're playing it like crazy here.

Let the countdown begin Goo Peeps!!!!!

About the rain... it's not like the goos haven't played in the rain before.. however, the golf course might have a place inside.  Kari (blessed_by_goo) I know was going to call the tourney (or course) office and get an answer to the concert possibly moving indoors in case of rain.

They've played Goo like crazy all day today plus this advertisement played all day too. And, the DJs have been talking about how they're gonna have tickets to give away. Every time I hear the Goo/PGA commercial I get so excited. I wonder if the guys actually know how popular they are around here? ... I guess they'll find out soon ...  :woohoo: :woohoo:

Just curious, cuz babsil isn't going to be in till around 4 and if my flight comes in way earlier, I didn't want to be standin there waiting. I'm rooming with her over at the Quality Inn, but am still looking at flights, so wanted to be sure of whats what before booking flight. Let me know... it's no biggie if you can't.... I just got my flight plan last night, I have to talk to Babs to find out if shes gonna be there or if I should arrange for either you or michelle to pick me up. I know Teri (silvergirl) needed a ride around the same time.
My flight gets in at 5:07 ..... I think Teri's was at 5 too.

Hopefully no one is flying into city airport.  Ha Ha!

There's really only two terminals. Northwest has it's own terminal and it's away from the other part of the airport. All other airlines fly into the other terminal. It shouldn't be hard to get everyone.

my friend Michelle told me that the one to fly into was Metro or Metra or something like that! LOL  it's supposedly only about 10-15 minutes from the Quality Inn on Michigan Ave!  :D

Yep, it's Detroit Metro or (DTW). It's huge. But now that Northwest has it's own terminal it's organized and easy to get around. Like I said picking everyone up won't be a problem.

Kari, you have a PM.  I honestly haven't decided what time I'm getting to the course yet. What do you all think? My husband is bringing our kids but not until just before the show. Maybe you all will help me save a spot for them. I just didn't think it would be fair to two little kids to make them wait ALL day like that. My daughter is 8 and she's so excited. She keeps talking about it every day. They know the Goo songs cold. They'll be able to sing every song right along with us.

I can't wait, It's been so long since I got away from the kids, I'm starting to get nervous about leaving the little one. You know flying and all, leaving the state ....

i'm still in "prep" mode!  LOL making my list of things to pack and or buy &  making my list of traveling directions.  LOL  I mean, I'm hyper, but I'm busy writing or typing stuff, so I'm in prep mode right now! LOL

I just called the office and spoke with someone who said that the earliest you can get there is 7:30am ... wow that's a long day. Also, absolutely NO phones ... even if you have a handicapped issue. There is AT&T wireless set up on site if you need it. There is also chairs and handicapped seating by the 18th green for anyone who needs it. Also, there is handicapped parking. You enter off of Rotunda and have to already have your day pass and handicapped sticker. There is parking by the clubhouse. If it is full they will valet park for you.

Michelle was told the gates open 7:30... so you've got to be able to get there earlier than that! Otherwise, Kari & I are going to have to go into "stealth mode" LOL and hide among the bushes!

Shit... so much for only bringin a carry on for luggage on the plane.

Yeah it was late and I hit stupid mode.....
I get really giddy when I'm tired.
Can't wait to see what I'm like that Sunday after probably only 3 hrs of sleep Cuz I plan on getting there EARLY!
