i thought this might be a fun thing to do for a bit. . .ok, here's the scenario: you've got a willing Goo convert, but you can only pick one song, a John and Robby song, and one video to pull them over into the mass that is the Goo Goo Dolls Fandom. What would you choose?

I'm gonna go with:
Song: Black Balloon cuz those are some of the best lyrics ever written and Burnin' Up cuz that is my favorite Robby song!
Video: Broadway; it's not my favorite, but the plot i think would keep their attention and maybe get a giggle out of em.

Video: "Slide"... :drool: gawd, John looks sexy as hell in that video, plus the video itself is kinda cool.

Long Way Down for the song (guess its the mood for today)
and Give a little bit for the video, cuz the explaination of the pouring rain and the gig..... its all in the dedication to the fans.... that would be enough in itself to grab my attention.

Song:Acoustic#3 and Slave Girl because it tells a funnny little story!but that doesn't apply for acoustic#3!

Video: Dizzy (because its fun, exciting, and just an awesome video all around.

Robby Song: January Friend....its always been a fave Robby song of mine, I really dont know why, but its so different than a lot of his other songs.

John: hmmmm...... Its a hard choice - Go with the rockin songs, or with the mellowed out song? I think I would have to choose So Far Away. Its a little bit of both.

Or......we could solve this problem all together and just play String of Lies....both Robby and John at once! ;)

John Song: oh....that is a good question. Either Long Way Down or Fallin' Down....ha! both songs have "down" in them....yeah, it's late and I'm finding every little thing amusing. :P

Robby Song: Lucky Star....has some really good lyrics. They just touch your soul man....sniff sniff, *wipes away the tears*

Video: Without question-There You Are. That video is SOOOOOOOOOOOO amusing to watch. It shows the band's sense of humor and energy. And did I mention- just the funniest video ever! :D :D :D :nanner:

i think it would really depend on who I'm trying to "push" over the line. I think it would depend on their personality & what they are going thru in their life. I really believe that there is a Goo Goo Dolls song that will touch everyone.

Robby: Tucked Away, cause I love the amount of energy he puts into it!
Vid: I love the Iris video, it's one of my faves! Give a Little Bit is a great one for a new recruit to see though! ;)

Video: Sympathy (great visuals AND great song, so this alleged "recruit" can see and hear a more mellow side of the GOOs...)
