Hi,
i was browsing the 'store' section on the goo goo dolls main website and recently i've had my eye on purchasing the:

"ROSE" PEWTER NECKLACE (GOO-PWN1)

But i would like to know if anyone here has bought one or would be kind to tell me if it is worth buying, its about $10.00 and im thinking about paying for it by international money order and since i've never ordered from net before (hey first time 4 everything lol) , i dont know how this money order works - i mean in it does it cover the cost of the necklace and shipping charged, do i get it from bank or post office.
Has anyone bought anything from the store on the goo's website? Do you know how much the shipping was and if you had any extra charges when yr product got to your country and is Cinderblocks service good.
I hope someone can help, thanks. �

BUY IT!! BUY IT!! :P Ahem. I'm not really trying to convince you to part with your money, honest....

I've had my GF necklace for...erm...just over 2 years now and I LOVE it, it's definitely worth the money!! ;D

HOWEVER I didn't pay by Money Order - I used my mum's credit card (with her permission ;) ) 'cos it was part of my birthday present. As far as I remember, shipping added about �10 to it, so if you want anything else as well (like say a T-shirt or something) I'd advise you to go ahead and buy it all together now, because you don't want to be paying that much extra if you want anything else later!

And I did have to pay �7 extra and collect it from the Post Office when it arrived (pretty much 30 days after ordering it, which I think is how long they say it'll take...) - but the �7 was because apparently you have to pay extra for intertnational packages which are worth more than �50 or something (and I went a little mad and bought 2 T-shirts and the GF tourbook as well...I couldn't help myself!!)

So - to conclude, I'd say it's worth it, but you might want to consider the shipping costs and whether you want to get any other Goo items at the same time. I hope I've helped - getting Goo stuff is one of the MOST EXCITING THINGS ever!!! Especially when we live in such a Goo-deprived country!! :thumbsup:

Your advice is very helpful Saz Goo- thanks 4 replying. I really want that necklace so will think hard about ordering it. I can see yr still excited about the necklace- thats how i was when i looked at it - it is really pretty. Yeh and yr so right about being deprived hehehehehe.
On the net it doesn't tell me how much to send overall with shipping cost aaahahahah... and im surprised you had 2 go to post office to pick up cos i thought it would come to yr house - so did they send u a letter to pick it up. �7 on top i guess we have 2 pay the tax and it doesnt seem as much if u bought �50 worth of stuff?? i dont know im still getting my head around paying with credit card or the money order cos foreigh orders cant pay with cheque (not fair lol) and money order is only way as since i havent brought anything over net i have this issue about using the credit card and hackers - probably sounds im overeacting - but u know. Sorry 4 the extra questions, buying goo things is important and i wanna do it right!!! LOL :D

Wierd, I would've thought it would say how much shipping was on the Cinderblock site...maybe, if you're unsure, email their Customer Services department and enquire how much it would be? And maybe ask about money orders at the same time, just to make sure?

Yeah, I had to go to the Post Office to pick it up because of the extra money I had to pay for it...they wouldn't release it until I'd paid them the �7, the tightwads. :P They sent us a letter to let us know - worst thing was, the package was sent to my parent's house, and my mum LEFT it at the Post Office for TWO WEEKS because she swore that she "hadn't ordered anything from America" and thought there'd been a mix-up! ::) When I realised it could ONLY BE my Goo stuff, I went a little crazy. :P

LOL, I totally understand about being careful with credit cards and stuff on the net! As far as I know, Cinderbblock are very careful with that side of stuff.

Yeah I don't know anything about the international ordering, but I can tell you that I wore my Gutterflower necklace for a year and a half without ever taking it off. It has since been replaced by a necklace I got in Italy, but the Goo necklace had a good run. I still love it!

Thanks you guys for your help. I will look into it some more. So funny talking about packages cos earlier this year i had Live in Alaska delivered to my house and i knew it was coming but not on which day exactly and Saz Goo i understand yr frustration that u didnt get yr hand on the goo stuff quicker, cos the postman left the Dvd outside, and u know the weather here, it was windy and rainy and he didnt even ring the door bell to tell us it came, instead my dad found it when he opened the door a few hours later!!! in that time what if the pakage got stolen or blown away by the wind heheheh, worst thing was i was thinking about it coming and it was on my doorstep all that morning!! Anyway i was really happy when i got to open it and watch it.. ;)

I have a GF necklace and I love it also. Definately worth the ten bucks. It is a little long, I shortened mine so it fits more like a choker. It says Goo Goo Dolls on the back. And, Cinderblock sent with my order a program at no charge, which I thought was really nice. Enjoy :)

I bought the DUTG necklace and I definately think that one's worth it. I wear it everyday. Shipping for me was around $4, but I don't know anything about international. They told me it would take 2-4 weeks, but it only took one and a half, so it's pretty speedy.

I have one and to be honest i never take it off. You won't regret it i promise but it's a different chain then it shows and but owell i still love it!!!!!! :gflower:

IM SO SAD TODAY �:'( :'( :'( :'(
For the past to days i have been searching for either bank/post office to make me an international money order and they go they dont make that anymore, but they do international drafts only which isnt the same thing and charges me �15 to get and the necklace will only cost �7.00 - so the bank lady goes its not worth getting - which means i cant get my GOO NECKLACE that i started this thread for. I was really looking forward to wearing it too.
I will try again but i guess i will still live. ;)
