Title: Goo bag...and it comes in blue! Post by BeaTheGooFan on Apr 27th, 2005, 9:36pm Hey you guys!! So I was over at ebay seeing what "new" Goo stuff is up and someone is selling Goo Goo Doll tote bags. I'm not affiliated with the seller in any way but I thought I'd give ya' a heads up in case you wanted a nice black or blue goo bag. I'm a blue fan so I'm slightly considering the cute blue one. Yeah and If it wasn't because I'm a starving college student I would jump right on it. ;) |

Title: Re: Goo bag...and it comes in blue! Post by THE sLaVe GiRl on Apr 27th, 2005, 10:41pm i went and checked those out (for whoever wants to see them, just do an ebay search for "goo goo dolls tote bag") and i frankly think you'd be better off saving your money. they don't even look real, like someone took a picture of a tote bag, a picture of the goo's, and threw them together in photoshop. fyi, it would be SUPER easy to make something like this yourself. you can buy blank canvas bags like that at most any hobby/crafts store, i've even seen them in the crafts section at walmart. print out a picture of whoever or whatever you want on the bag on some of that iron-on printer paper, which you can buy in crafts or office supply stores. you could make something very cool for a LOT less than $13.99 plus $4.85 shipping. i only say all this because me and a friend have been WICKED burnt before on ebay buying items of this nature that turned out to be homemade. i collect wonder woman stuff, and my friend spent over $40 buying me a supposed zippo lighter with wonder woman on it. when it got here, it was one of those zippo knockoffs you can get at walmart for $1.99. the wonder woman on it was a shitty picture printed on a piece of paper from an inkjet printer and stuck to the lighter with something like clear contact (sticky-back) paper or tape. and, even worse, the cheap lighter leaked fluid everywhere, and in one evening of sitting at home and using the thing (not even having it in my pocket or purse), the picture fell off. wow, i don't think i meant to be that ranty. ;) when it comes to ebay, BUYER BEWARE!! you can get some great stuff, but you can end up with some crap as well! |

Title: Re: Goo bag...and it comes in blue! Post by THE sLaVe GiRl on Apr 28th, 2005, 12:07am it would be cool if you tried making one yourself, or had a friend help you make one, and then posted a pic for us to see! i bet you could come up with something that would rock. hey...if any of you out there have cool goo things you have made, you should post pics of them for inspiration! i'm working on coming up with ideas for things to make for mother's day, and i'm always looking to be inspired! |

Title: Re: Goo bag...and it comes in blue! Post by goober_1013 on Apr 28th, 2005, 9:15am i haven't been to look at the tote bag, but i've been ripped off on ebay before too with suppossed "tote." my sister is a huge Labyrinth fan and i bought her what i thought to be this awesome tote with David Bowie on the front, $30. it got here and came in a simple manilla envelope, opened it up, i was ashamed to give it to her! it was no where near as big as what i thought it would be and it was made from this cheap, thin black fabric that you would get from the discount rack at wal-mart!! i was so mad!!! >:( but yeah, you can make your own totes and they are so much more fun because you can be creative. . .i've made several and even traded online with people for other Goo stuff. got the pattern at wal-mart and this iron printer paper. much cheaper in the long run. . .here are a few pics. . .enjoy. . . ;D http://deepfriedboot.tripod.com/id239.htm |

Title: Re: Goo bag...and it comes in blue! Post by THE sLaVe GiRl on Apr 28th, 2005, 12:28pm see what i mean? it is so much cuter when you make the stuff yourself, and then you have something that's unique. and even if you don't think of yourself as a "crafty" person, you'd be surprised how easy it is to make some things. or you can always have someone help you. |

Title: Re: Goo bag...and it comes in blue! Post by MethodInMadness on Apr 28th, 2005, 4:23pm Goober - That camo purse on your site is so awesome! It looks like it could been sold on the GGD's site. Was it made with iron-on paper? |

Title: Re: Goo bag...and it comes in blue! Post by goober_1013 on Apr 28th, 2005, 5:43pm it was camo fabric and i used the iron-on paper for the patch. according to the pattern, it was actually suppossed to a front pocket, but i didn't attatch it because i had high hopes i would get it signed that night. . .instead, i just used my Goo buttons to keep it on. . .this way, i can take the patch off and tuck it safely away when i want to carry the purse. . .the picture was designed by Robin who runs an awesome Goo site where she makes all kinds of Goo graphics. . .i just told her the type of fabric i was using and she made a graphic that matched perfectly! robin rocks. . . ;D |
