In the spirit of Oscar Wilde, fashion, rock & roll and theatre converge to create an oh "So Wilde!" night. Johnny Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls will host a fashion show and party to benefit VH1 Save the Music Foundation on Friday, May 20th, 2005 at earthNYC. New York fashion vixen, Annique Lambe, has created three fashion collections inspired by the Broadway-bound musical, Canterville Ghost, based on Oscar Wilde's short story.

VIP tickets are priced at $1,000 and includes admission to the VIP Lounge. General Admission tickets are priced at $700. Doors open at 8:30 pm; the Fashion Show begins at 9:00 pm. thats cool.. but unless its televised, i'll have no way of seeing it. i mean, come on, i'm in highschool. i wish i had a thousand bucks to spend.... :(

Thanks! I bet even if VH1 doesn't televise it, they will use video of the event in their news blurbs.... we'll have to be on the look out on the 11th!

oh man!!! i wish i could go.. first need a 1000 grand, then air fair to get from england to new york... but i also have exams then so no chance, especially since im a student, not gonna work on a student bugdet.. but hey i will keep dreaming!!!

Sorry guys, that was set for May 20th. VH1 probably won't talk about it for a few weeks. If anyone is going to mention anything about it being televised ahead of time, it will more than likey be them or E! tv. I'd start looking around the second week of May...they like to spring these kinds of things on you.

I don't understand either why he would be asked to host a fashion show. He's in the rock music industry. I bet it's because of the Dizzy Up The Girl era that they got the idea he was big on fashion. He went through an image transition and told VH1 all about; the make-up around the eyes, the necklace, the classy suits and other new clothes, the new hairstyle: it became his rock star glam get-up. He was begininning to become somewhat of a sex symbol after that image transition. I'm not sure why they would carry all of that into this year's fashion shows but people are weird about things like that. He hosted a fashion show or two �back then. Maybe someone working behind the scenes there has a big crush on him and he didn't mind doing it since it was also an affiliation of the Save the Music Foundation... :dunno: lol...either that or they are fans of the GGD. Ya never know!

I wonder if they need models? I'm willing to be a clothes horse that night, schedule permitting of course........ ;D

As for carge pants, I think John will be back in a sexy suit for that gig. Damn, that man can wear suits!! ;)

Nobody wants to appear out of style. How long has he been wearing cargo pants? It would surprize me if the tour for this album he wears cargo pants. He will be 40 this year. True, he marches to his own drummer, but he does change himself from time to time, consider all the different hair styles. Whatever he wears, he will look great!!
