Title: Mommy Becoming A Goober?
Post by Gutterflower on Apr 16th, 2005, 3:16pm
Probably not, but one day when she was cooking and I was on the computer, my playlist was on and I heard my mom scream down the hall, "Why the hell isn't 'Iris' on?" When I heard her, I was a little confused if she was talking about the song or something else. But she really meant the song! I made my mommy like Goo!

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Oh, I know. I may need to ease up on this one too, but I got my mommy into 'Iris', don't you think that's worth all the woo-hoos?! ;D

Definately worth it!  If she likes Iris, she'll probably like Slide or Name, too

I know that she knows 'Slide' but I'm not really sure about 'Name' *shrugs* I just gotta keep having Goo on really loud until she's hooked, and then she'll say that I'm evil for getting her into them ::)

You know what's scary? When I first got interested in the Goos, I bought both the DUTG album and Gutterflower. My mother never heard them. One day, I was listening to DUTG in the living room, she was in the kitchen. "All Eyes On Me" was playing, and I heard SOMEONE singing along. I thought I was insane, so I went out in the kitchen, and there was mom, singing along with every word!!!  :o Funny part is, she never even knew it was by the Goo Goo Dolls. My mommy ish a goober tooooo! XD

How the hell did she know 'All Eyes On Me'? That wasn't even a single. Just a lil confused here :-/

I had to giggle on this one. :hahaha:

I am a Mom, with two daughters. I was the one who turned them on to Goo, not the other way around! ;)

My whole house is decorated in Goo, and my CD racks are filled with Goo CD's. I had to start their own Goo collection, because they would borrow my CD's, but never returned them. :hahaha:

They started watching all my Goo shows, wearing my Goo t-shirts, ect! I put a fast stop to that! :whip:

The kids call this Mom for any new Goo info, and go with me to shows. This is just one, big, Gooey household. Even my hubby's band plays Goo!  :rockin:

my mom is a huge fan, knows the words as well as i do. . .her favorite song is Black Balloon, even went to a concert with me and LOVED it. . .but she's the type who likes to tease me about them and call them 'Goo Goo Girls' even though secretly she snags my CD's and listens to them in the car. . . ;D
