Hiya all goo fans,

I wanted to know if anyone here has met the band or has a dream of them they would like to share.

Early this year, i woz listenin to gutterflower and dizzy up the girl 24/7 and i had a dream of John.
I dreamt i woz in my school canteen and everywhere there were lyrics to the goo goo dolls songs written on the walls!! And then i saw that John woz there too... having a goo goo doll fan meeting.

Crazy dream.. but it felt bittersweet....

Thought i'd share.... ;) :)

Wow, i thought iw as the only dreamer out there, haha. Hope you dont think i'm wierd cuz i'm a guy dreaming of Goo, but yeah, so here it goes.. Okay, for some reason they were at my school, and there was a concert. There were our local bands, which btw were much better in my dream :-/, and then the Dolls were the finally band. Then after there were like couches that appeared and John, Robby, and Mike were all sitting there, and i got to talk to them. Also, they had a autograph line later, and this magical souvenier shop appeared, and there was a line as long as forever. But anyways, i was like first in line, and they wouldn't autograph me for some reason, even though i carried along a conversation, and tehres a reason i just cant member. SO yeah, i then went in to buy Jed, then only cde i dont have of them, and i got that autographed and we went out to dinner and yeah good fun..

Yeh that's a cool dream...
I've never met a guy who woz into goo..but that's gr8... but then again i've never really got to talk about the goo's to anyone until i came on these messageboards.
I like it here...i live in england and the goo's r rarely talked about and i have still to meet someone here who knows that they exist!!!!

I haven't met any of the band members but My Husband met Robby in Vegas after the NYE show (03/04) and got an autographed CD. He said Robby was really cool to all the fans who came up to him! :claps:

Yay, another UK fan!! Welcome Dream of Goo, I know the Goos exist! But I know what you mean, they're SERIOUSLY under-rated here.

My recurring Goo dream is that they're playing at my Uni in one of the big halls, where the seats are DEAD uncomfortable, I'm RIGHT at the top (i.e. miles away from the stage) and they only play the slow songs and we're not allowed to stand up or clap or sing along... :P

I think my subconscious is doing it deliberately so that, if they ever DO come back to the UK, the concert will surely be better than the dream one, so I won't be disappointed!! ;D

For now i dream of going to new york or seeing them maybe in vegas or somethin. Now that would be cool.
I agree they r so underrated here , so im glad i know another uk fan. I thought yr flag with the goos on it woz great.
My mates havent heard of them, so this is the only place i can talk to real goo fans.

I like the story of the woman whose husband met Robby.... its cool hearing these fan encounters.

There are a couple of other UK fans here on WOG, we're just not posting much at the moment. :P for me, it's because I'm in my final year of Uni and I just don't have that much time, eek!!

I'm glad you like my UK flag, I made it a few years ago now but it still says it all, I think!! If you ever wanna chat, my email is in my profile, nice to speak to another UK fan!! How did you hear of them anyway?

Yeh the flag says it all...v.creative... it's cool.
Im in my first year of uni. Im on the msg boards every other day.. it's quite addictive talkin to other fans.

Well, i've loved the goo's music since i woz probably 14 years old.
I love music and i love finding about new songs and band, so i woz always listen to and buyin musis cd's.. and i came across iris and 'here is gone' over the years.
I loved the city of angels film and the song iris woz so beautiful and melodic and i heard here is gone on Smallville... so from there just bought the cd's.

I listen to ego art and commerce alot and gutterflower..superb albums...
cant wait to here new material. :)

Its my 2nd dream this year of the goo's. For two days i was having nightmares cos im getting stressed out cos my exams r coming and on the 3rd night i was scared to go to bed cos i didnt want to have another nightmare - its weird 1 was where i was really ill and couldnt go to the exam and the other dream was me running to the exam on the motorway and trying to revise its crazy,
(i get to uni by passing the motorway). Anyway on the 3rd night i dreamt of Talking to Robby and we were tallking like we had all the time in the world, before we talked, i saw robby and mike siiting on a worktop surface. i didnt talk to mike but soon after they both dissapeared ??? . i woke up feeling happy. It was strange that i dreamt of them two cos my first dream was where i talked to John but i didnt talk to him like i did to robby, with john the dream was that he was a leader of a group teaching singing/gutar lessons and he told me i had to join or i couldnt be involved. He didnt sem as friendly as Robby but i was happy to see him. I dont know what i said to Robby but i havent had any nigtmares after that!! I hope i dont sound crazy with my dreams.... i havent met them so they come to me in my dreams hehehehe.

i've had numerous dreams about them in the past but i can only remember one dream at the moment..

i had a dream that the Goos were performing outside in a large back-yard like area and i winked at John(which i would never do unless i knew him ::)). then all of a sudden i was standing in front of him i kissed him agressively full on the mouth, then gently over his neck until he became wild and threw me down on the ground. then...errrm..i can't tell you the rest of that dream. its very x-rated :naughty: all i can say is i woke up "happy" yet disturbed that it was just a dream. you understand, dontcha? ;) lol.

I dreamed I went to one of their concerts and got to meet them backstage, where I so happened to have a camera handy and get a picture with them. They tried to talk to me, but for some reason, I couldn't say anything, and I was so frustrated that I was making a fool of myself. Not a very exciting dream huh?

At least...not as exciting as some others that I'm hearing about. ::)

Hell, thats what I do. I either put in LIA or LIB and either watch it or fall asleep watching it. Or I'll watch it then turn it off and put the ear phones on, or I'll go on comp and look at all the Gooey pics that clog my comp up, then put the phones on OR if I have enough time and really wanna get worked up I'll do all the above, go on comp, then watch one of the two then put on phones. Sometimes I'll just lay there and imagine a scenario. It DOES in fact work. I'll fall asleep while imagining and Johnny baby ...... LAY ME DOWN AND TAKE MY SHOES OFF!!! LOL ... I know sick aren't I hell it keeps me sane and satisfied! ok now you all know my dirty secrets, GOTO GO! :seeya:

Why can't life be like our dreams?? :'(
Cos i know if i ever met John or Robby Or Mike it will NEVER be like that. Dearborn has been on my mind, and even though its so far i cant go, i still imagine myself sitting on the golf course where they are gong to play. I imagine myself sitting there during the day to try and see if i can see them before the event and out of no where i turn around and Johns coming to talk to me ...as if.. i cant imagine further.. its too hard to fool yourself.
You guys are having x - rated dreams L0L - it might cross my mind but i just think about kissing John but its not easy knowing i wouldnt have the guts to just go up to him and do that and hey he probably will decline the offer cos he 'acts' quite shy u know hes been married and his on /off gf AF is i think quite sweet and pretty and its not fair, i dont wanna get involved like that than.
I get happy thinking about laughing with Robby - u know at the concerts he points at some fans and looks really happy and laughs hysterically - i need some of this laughter hehehe. Hes married now - thats good that they can find people who will love them..
I think i will try and stick to liking them cos of their songs, cos i wasnt in love with john/robby/mike anyway - i love them cos of their songs and thats a big difference - we think we know them through their songs but thats just a part of them - we dont really know them. But hey on that note, theres no harm in a dream no and than, i guess it can be healthy cos everyone has their own daydreams.. Happy dreaming everyone. ;)

i couldn't sleep this morning so at about 4:20am i popped in lib and when it went off i was sleepy so i went back to bed and i had a dream that johnny and robby were being mean to me and mike was on my side.he started yelling at them!
nothing really exciteing but i thought i'd share!

I don't claim to know any of them. As I said in my post about John's "aura", most of what I see in him is media influenced. Yes, I think he's an awesome musician and I admire and love what he does but I realize I don't KNOW him. It's just hormones...give us a break. lol. The guy is sexy and I'm attracted to him...that's why I have the dreams. I don't think they have any GREAT important meaning behind them. It's just my perviness that makes me think about those things...can't help it...well, I could but it's more fun not to..hehe. :naughty:

I know meeting the Goos and seeing them live in concert can be more than a dream and can happen in reality. I was referring to the fact that the things I sometimes dream about more than likely won't, as far as the x-rated ones and the reality of that sorta sucks when and if I really get into the whole idea, ::) which is, in my opinion, not good but I'm only human here. :D

Yeh - John is 20 years older than me!!! imagine if we got together - hahahahahahah - it will be like catherine -zeta jones and micheal douglous.
