My hubby and 8 year old daughter are going and my Goo friend from Wisconsin is coming too. I'm so excited for this show. It'll be a year since I've seen them last. I'm still reeling from the fact that they're actually playing so close to me...I don't usually have Goo luck like this. Plus, I have a friend who works for Ford who is trying to get me all access VIP passes. I sure hope you decide to come Teri. |

Post by babsil30 on Apr 12th, 2005, 11:33am I'm excited too! :woohoo: :nanner: ok, to answer.. the goo goo dolls are performing after the final round of the senior PGA Ford golf tournament that is being held in dearborn michigan on july 10th. the tournment is something like the 7-10th. advance admittance tickets are $25 for a single day, or $30 at the gate. please keep in mind, if you order the advance tickets, there is a $7 shipping fee. so it ends up being more expensive than at the gate but includes parking from what I understand. not sure if the gate ticket covers that or not. As for tickets being available now, I don't know. It doesn't sound like they limit the number of tickets being sold. Just keep in mind, you are not actually buying a ticket to see the Goo Goo Dolls, you are buying an admittance ticket to the golf tournament! My guess (and from what I've heard from a friend who's attending the PGA Sr Ford tourney) that it's GA but there have been seats set up. I don't think you actually get an "assigned" seat. Perhaps that's something someone can ask when calling to enquire about ticket availability. if you have questions, the best thing to do is call the phone numbers provided for information! -Babs :D |

Detroit is 12 miles from Dearborn. Just so ya know! My friend and I are staying at the Dearborn Quality Inn. If you're serious about it, I'd start calling now and making a reservation. As it was, Quality Inn was the 4th hotel we called that had a vacancy... just so ya know! My guess is, if you call hotels (which is usually and 800 number) you could ask them if they have a shuttle from the airport! If you're at the same hotel as me, you're more than welcome to catch a ride with us to the golf course! that's what goo buddies do.. help out when they can! ;) -Babs :D |

Just wondering, if all works out for me what time we should start arriving to ensure we get good location on the grounds. Plus I have to put forethought into whether or not I'm gonna fly in same day as or the day before. While on the subject, once we enter will be able to skip right ahead to that field and get into position. Thanks for the offer Teri on the sharing cabby fare. It will I guess depend on when I fly in and whether or not or arrivals will be within close timing. I wouoldn't want you to hsng around for 3 hrs waiting for my flight to come in, just so we can share a fare. How far is the golf corse from the hotel you mention Babsil? Michelle said it was within walking distance, but man, I don't want to walk that far LOL I want to save my engery for bouncing around at the venue LOL As for what time the "gates" open on Sunday, I'm not sure. I imagine it would be an hour perhaps before tee time for the golfers. As for the golf tourney office being open.. dunno, might as well try and call! I'm sure they can answer your questions regarding gate opening time, if we can skip ahead to the designated "hole" or what. -Babs :D |
