Weird topic - I know.  But I'm just wondering what's going on lately?  Last weekend this guy from my daughter's gym tells me he LOVES the Goo Goo Dolls and wants to discuss their lyrics with me which of course I am always willing to do.  And just now my son sends me an instant message asking me to send some Goo music to him at school.  He says he watched them perform for the allstar game and he liked 'em, and he just heard I'm Still Here on the radio and liked that too... so he's thinking he'd like to listen to some more of their music.  HELLO!?!  Has he not heard it all already?  He's HAD to have heard lots of Goo music living with me the past 19 years!

Both these guys are 19... is this the start of a trend?

haha...well i'm 17 and the only people who i can talk Goo with are females. My friends just joke with me about liking them but w/e-good music is good music whether it questions my sexuality or not  ;)

Way to go boys  :thumbsup:  I have some guys friends that are 21 and they like the Goo Goo Dolls too.  I've been to two different Goo shows with a few of my guy friends and they really enjoyed the show.  One of my guy friends actually plays the guitar and he's told me that he's tried playing some Goo songs, but he always ends up breaking a string whenever he has to change the tune!  LOL.

JEEZ..I'M ONLY 13~~alot my friends tell me they suck, and i get pissed....all me friends that are girls love iris and like give a little bit, but i have 2 other friends that LOVE them...my friend in my grade(guy), and my cousin(gurl)....GOO KICK ARSE

Yeah, I get the same. I am considered the resident Goo fan in my town... I've been able to convert a few of my friends, but I take a lot of shit from my friends because everytime they ride in my car with me, the Goo's are always in the cd player...

Happy Birthday Rogue, In case I miss your Birthday Posts  :D  I think as far as you guys gettin shit for liking Goo... It's all in the name. To say Goo is a girly band is whacked. Tell someone to listen to more than what's been played on the radio before they smack judgement! Anyone hear of not judging a book by the cover (meaning the name) They think girly cuz of the couple of ballad style hits and the Goo Goo Dolls bein the name. Sometime have your cd changer all ready with Slave girl waitin or Long Way Down or something hard like that. SHOW them and make them hear your boys have BALLS! I bet after a few slammin songs you'll have 'em transformed or at least I bet you'll have a few closet gooers that just won't easily be subdued

No no no... here's what you do:

You tell them, "Hey guys, why don't we listen to the Sex Maggots and tell me what you think?"  And put in something like "A Boy Named Goo," ask for opinions, and THEN tell them the "new name"  ;D ;)  MWA HA HA HA HA HA!

I'm 19 lol, been listening to Goo since I was about 13 (I'll be 20 in November) ... and I'm a gooaholic  ;).  And my boyfriend's 21 and I'm trying my hardest to have him like Goo more (he likes them a LITTLE).  He's always using "Black Balloon" as an excuse to make fun of them, he sings, "Little black ballooooon."  Grrr.  I'm going to freak him out with the First Release one of these days  :P

My BF started liking them when he was 18, hes 19 now and a  very big big fan.  ;D He's the only BF who will drive me around the US to see my goo I Love him  :D
