hey all, went to Barnes and Nobles the other day and there is a very little blurb with a pic and paragraph of Rzeznik. �John Fogerty is on the cover March 14th, 2005. �the topic is How To Write A Hit Song:

"I was sitting up late one night, fiddling with the guitar. �I was tired of standard tuning, and I just started �winding tuning pegs up and down until I found something that sounded good--[low to high] D A E A E E. �And then the notes, or chords, or whatever you call them, just started coming out. �The song came together in a couple of days. �I sort of like to see what my music makes me feel before I write the words. �I think music can prompt the lyrics--it evokes more of a mood and a feel than just writing words. �'Name' was the first time I actually felt like a writer more than a guy who just plays guitar."
