Title: The stupidest Thing Post by blessed_by_goo on Mar 1st, 2005, 12:16am I did the stupidest ( is that a word) thing today. LMFAO everytime I think back on it. LOL. Ok so I'm getting ready in the bathroom and I got my compilation cd goin... I'm listening to Lazy Eye and I'm dancin around with 2 yr old. She's gettin a total charge outta watchin mommy, hair thrashin, head bangin to the hard parts "caught in the breakdown" and I come back up from tossin my hair and S L A M I slammed my head right into the bathroom doorjam!!! ROTFLMAO!!! Exept I wasn't LMAO at the time I was just plain on the floor. LITERALLY holdin my head and when I got up I was all dizzy and practically screaming curses. I now have a black and Blue forehead and a slight concussion and have been kinda loopy all day since. of coarse I finally managed to get up, 2 yr old jabberin in my face R U OK mommy....rest of Lazy Eye still blarrin in the background. I hit hard!!! I managed to fumble to the freezer for an ice pack and the cd player is still blarin in the back ground, now it's Long Way Down and I'm sittin on the hopper trying to regain my vision and now I'm LMAO and as I'm laughin my head is poundin..... Too funny all I could think while all goin on is DIZZY UP THE GIRL.... that was SOOOOO stupid. anyway had to share seein how it was GOO related! Anyone else do stupid shit like that???? This would be a good post if someone's willin to put themselves out there! |

Title: Re: The stupidest Thing Post by Dances with Goo on Mar 1st, 2005, 12:20pm Ouch! Hey, take care of that head, okay? Try to stay awake today, a concussion is pretty serious. If your vision is blurry or anything seems "off", you should get checked out. I did something stupid that got me a concussion once. I decided to race my brother on an ice pond. Problem was, I was wearing figure skates instead of hockey skates. So the toothed edge on the front of the blade caught on the ice and I whumped my head on the ice real hard. I remember going out...like you're trying to stay conscious, but everything blinks out to black. My family took me to one of those walk-in clinics to get checked out. They said I had a concussion, and to keep an eye on things for a couple of days to make sure it was alright. Pretty scary. I hope you feel better. |

Title: Re: The stupidest Thing Post by blessed_by_goo on Mar 1st, 2005, 12:33pm LOL... it actually happened yesterday, but this am i woke with a headache, but not the normal kind. This almost feels like a wine hangover headache, the worst kind as far as I'm concerned. Anywho...funny thing is thats the second time I hit my head hard like that. 1st time was when I was like 17. I was walkin the beach boardwalk, which to get a visual, It is seperated by the street and there's pretty much sidewalks on both sides well I was walkin down the walkway, and I noticed this really HOT lookin guy walkin down the otherside and I turned around to check out his ass. Well when I came back to face forward, all while walkin mind you, I walked right into a telephone pole! You know those little steel posts that stick outta them the men use to climb the pole. Right smack in the middle of my forhead. I hit so hard I fell on my ass. Keep in mind this is a main drag and very busy. Everyone saw me. I was alone and very embarrased! The guy I was checkin out even saw me!!! Needless to say I walked around lookin like Gandi for a week. Had a hell of a headache then too. |

Title: Re: The stupidest Thing Post by Dances with Goo on Mar 1st, 2005, 12:47pm LOL...Gandhi! That's what ya get for checkin' out some dude's arse on the boardwalk! :P My daughter walked right into a pole on the street last year, so I can envision you doing the same thing to the telephone pole! Come to think of it, my son once walked into a column in the school library...whump! We are a clumsy people. :-/ Oh, yeah, once I slipped while walking across the dance floor at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park...you know one of those falls where you just catch yourself at the end, and stand upright, then act like I didn't fall, noooooo, not me. ::) |

Title: Re: The stupidest Thing Post by blessed_by_goo on Mar 1st, 2005, 2:33pm Clumsy we are.... oh well. LOL at least we can look back and laugh :hahaha: |

Title: Re: The stupidest Thing Post by nmf016 on Mar 1st, 2005, 2:49pm I guess I'll add the 'whacked head' stories. When I was in fourth grade I was playing tag with my sisters and friends on one of those big wooden playgrounds. I tripped over a step and fell, smacking my forehead on the ledge of a step. I got knocked out and was taken to the emergency room. I had a huge bruise on my forehead for weeks. I'm not sure if it was actually called a concussion though, because when the doctor asked me how bad it hurt, etc, I lied and said it was okay because I was afraid. :D In the right lighting and knowing it's there, you can actually see a long dent in my skull from the accident 11 yrs later. (I can see all of you people in internet-land thinking I'm horribly deformed now, but you can only see it if you know it's there) But feel better! At least you're not the only one! |

Title: Re: The stupidest Thing Post by Pinky_Goo on Mar 1st, 2005, 4:09pm He he, I can outstupid (my own word ::)) all of you! Let me set up the scenario: I was 7 years old, my mother and I were in the mall, and I was going to have my photos taken. First, my mother brought me to the hair salon placey thing. I sat in that chair for what seemed like HOURS, while my mother and the hair dresser "Ooh"ed and "Aaah"ed over me. Finally, with my hair styled perfectly, with all my pretty clothes on, my mother started another conversation with the hairdresser. So, being the impatient child that I was, I begged her to let me go to the toy store across the hall. She agreed, and I ran out of the salon, across the hall and into - - A glass door! :o :o :o It was one of those sliding glass doors, that you don't really see when they're closed. I did still get my photos taken, though. There was a huge bump on my head, and my face was red from crying! :P Ah well, seems like stupidity is a gift I was well blessed with! ^_^ |

Title: HRe: The stupidest Thing Post by RogueUK on Mar 1st, 2005, 4:29pm ha, Pinky_Goo, I did something similar a few weeks ago... I was walking along text messaging (text messages are surely the root of all evil) on my mobile, and I tried to walk into GAP...anyway the GAP in York is all glass-fronted and stuff, and I walked forward with my head down, still texting...and walked right into the glass panel at the SIDE of the doorway, instead of going through the doorway like I was supposed to! Well, glass is SEE THROUGH! It was hard to see! ROTFL! The worst thing about it was that it was a really busy day in the city centre and a bunch of people laughed at me. BTW - someone told me that people in America don't text message very much. Is that true? ??? Another dumb thing I did...I nearly broke my ankle because I thought it would be a good idea to run (in the wrong direction) down the moving walkway in the airport. *shakes head in disbelief* |

Title: Re: The stupidest Thing Post by blessed_by_goo on Mar 1st, 2005, 10:28pm K here's one more.... purely stipid!!! I went to CT last week and while there my bestfiends little girl is 3weeks older than my little girl. We're celebrating their Birthdays at her place. She's living with her little girls father. I know him, but I can't say I like him or that I want to but that's neither here nor there. I don't think he likes me very well NOW. ANYWAY. We get thru most of the party and were sitting there amongst guests and I say to my b/f I think either Shelby or Julia needs to be changed. Shelbyy's her's Julia, mine. She looks at me then checks Shelby and shakes her head as if to say it's not her kid. So I check mine and it's not mine. and well there's no one else there wearin diapers so were like WTF. We then notice her man sittin there startin to laugh. So she looks at him and says did you fart??? He bluntantly answers no .... but I took a shit and it's no makin its way out here and seein how everyone here now knows its me we may as well have an open discussion.... OOPS!!! :-X Guess he don't want me round nomore. But how was I suppose to know. When you got kids and you smell shit you automatically assume its the kids. Who'd know it was him. Plus the party was almost petered out, Iwould've squeezed it back a bit till later at least. I was emabarrased for sayin it though! |

Title: Re: The stupidest Thing Post by girlnamedgrace on Mar 2nd, 2005, 6:57am What is it about the goos causing us to inflict serious injury on ourselves and others? ::) When I found my package from Amazon w/ LIB I nearly brained myself running to get inside my apartment and then nearlt cut an artery opening it w/ the scissors. My fried had to do it my hands were shaking so much(which gave them more "grace i a weirdo" stories to tell others. How I love my friends) Y'know how random acts of kindness are encourged. I think goo subconciously encourages random acts of violence. |
