Title: Favourite Music Video Post by tkc1989 on Feb 27th, 2005, 7:27am I've got to say i luv all the Goo's videos (obviously) but my favourites are probably: black balloon, slide and sympathy. In Black balloon i luv how its all black and white with john and his black guitar. On slide i just luv the way he strums on his guitar and the whole sorta green theme. Sympathy i luv when he's in the back of the car and the elvis guy comes in, makes me laugh everytime. |

Title: Re: Favourite Music Video Post by RogueUK on Feb 27th, 2005, 2:17pm Not to be difficult or anything...but I think my fave Goo vid would have to be 'There you Are'. They just look like they're having so mcuh FUN, it's awesome ;D But then again...I do love the vid for Broadway. It makes me laugh every time. The vid for Iris kinda irritates me... :-X |

Title: Re: Favourite Music Video Post by Anon on Feb 27th, 2005, 4:03pm I love Flat Top! To see our guys when they were so young and it was kinda artsy too which is different than what they do now. Also, Naked was very different. Loved it. But I agree that Broadway is hilarious and its cool to see they made such a statement about 'manufactured' pop/rock stars. Oh, and I love Lazy Eye. So I guess I can't pick just one!! |
||
Title: Re: Favourite Music Video Post by Anon on Feb 27th, 2005, 4:05pm One more : GALB!!!!!!!!!!!!! It just seems like they have so much fun together. I think it was such a cool idea to do the video including the fourth show and have their friends in it. I like when bands do things like that. I think its awesome!!!!! |

Title: Re: Favourite Music Video Post by ShanGooFan on Feb 27th, 2005, 4:12pm My favorites are GALB ... cuz I'm in it :P... LOL ... seriously I just love that video. Title: Re: Favourite Music Video Post by boynamedgoo on Feb 27th, 2005, 5:12pm My top 5: 1. There You Are - very cool video for me personally, considering I live in the area and have seen many of the spots it was filmed. The drive into the city is the same route I take every time I go. I go to games at the ballpark every summer. I've been to Niagara Falls. It's really fun to watch. 2. Lazy Eye - just a really cool video. 3. I'm Awake Now - no one's giving this one any love, but I think it's cool. Shot at Shea's in Buffalo (where they have performed many times) 4. We Are the Normal - Only seen it a few times, but I like it. 5. Flat Top - cool as well. A little tidbit for anyone making a Goo roadtrip to Buffalo, you can take the drive they do in "There You Are". South of the city, right next to the old Bethlehem Steel area, there's a road called Lake Ave. If you go down Lake Ave. towards Route 5, turn right on 5, and follow it into the city. Follow the signs to Delaware Ave., and turn right on Church St. Turn right at the second street (Pearl St.) and follow until you get to Seneca St. Turn left on Seneca, and turn right on Washington and you're at the ballpark. |

Title: Re: Favourite Music Video Post by Iris74 on Feb 27th, 2005, 5:47pm In this order Broadway (seeing the old dudes with John/Robby/Mike hair is TOO funny!) Lazy Eye Slide (although I always wonder how that girl can ignore John like that!) |

Awesome. I really wanted to see if I could visit that place during my crazy Goo pilgrimmage, I'm sure that will be helpful, boynamedgoo ;D Supagoo, I think that ShadGoo (so many Goos...OY! lol) meant a place to DOWNLOAD the vids as opposed to just watching them... *cough* Kazaa...*cough* *looks around all shifty* I didn't say anything...0_o Glad to hear I'm not the only one who isn't exactly enamoured of the Iris vid. It's the whole moody-Rzeznik-in-a-see-through-shirt aspect that really sticks in my craw. The whole vid consists of thoughtful, moody shots of John. We see Mike and Robby for all of three seconds. It's Rzez's poster-boy video and it just...irritates me. I know it's not John's fault, I'm not criticising him...I just wanna wring the director's neck. LMAO. |

Title: Re: Favourite Music Video Post by ivebeengooed on Feb 27th, 2005, 8:00pm All of them I love, but I got to say Lazy Eye right now. Today I am just hooked on the song. |

Title: Re: Favourite Music Video Post by FallenStar on Feb 27th, 2005, 8:31pm i love the Black Balloon and Naked videos......but Broadway and Flat Top are good too hell.....they're all excellent ::) |

Title: Re: Favourite Music Video Post by Emily on Feb 28th, 2005, 12:57am only one & there you are! and i would have to agree; the iris clip is kinda irritating...that damn spinning chair! lol |

Title: Re: Favourite Music Video Post by blessed_by_goo on Feb 28th, 2005, 9:19am Broadway and GALB, Here is gone to a point ...I dunno it just seems a little lost from the lyrical aspect. I agree on Iris, although it pains me to say I have a least favorite, I just don't know how John could've stood up to all that damn spinning. If I had to spin that much and then stand on a ledge I probably would've fallen from dizzyness. Very bad call on directors behalf. The see thru shirt doesn't seem like a John thing either...made him look ****gy. Which PISSES me off! From what I hear John actually took a couple of blows to the head on those telescopes, because he got so dizzy he lost his balance and kept hitting his head on them. Sorry about that admins...what the hell was I thinking... |

Title: Re: Favourite Music Video Post by Maryofdahood on Feb 28th, 2005, 9:31pm hm.. my favorites would have to be: Black Balloon Slide Broadway Lazy Eye Sympathy There You Are actually, i love all of them. but those are my absolute favorites |

Title: Re: Favourite Music Video Post by nmf016 on Feb 28th, 2005, 10:11pm Man, what 'Iris' haters in here! I love the video. I had loved the song, but the video was the final straw I needed. Watching that video ::cough cough seeingJohnforthefirsttime cough cough:: made me really fall in love with the band. (If you pretend the shirt isn't see-through it makes everything better) But my favorite video is probably "Lazy Eye" The song is just too damn cool and John looking all crazy is an added bonus. And I think "Here is Gone" is a beautiful video, but there just isn't enough of the Goos in it... **EDIT** Dude, I forgot all about Dizzy. A man should not look that good wearing that much eye makeup in a bed and be able to pull it off. And the pidgeons are cool. And the cars... (I don't know what's wrong with me today. I usually don't speak much about John's hotness) |

Actually, since the Goo's show here will most likely be this summer, you might be able to catch a game at the ballpark (now Dunn Tire Park) the video was shot at. It'd be something to do. You could walk up to the hallways upstairs where they can be seen goofing around in the video... |

Title: Re: Favourite Music Video Post by girlnamedgrace on Mar 1st, 2005, 6:50am Lazy Eye is by far my fav video. John acting like a mental patient, who'da thunk it'd be so cool? Also about the goo pilgrimidge, the tourist board in Buffalo should totally have a Goo Tour bus taking you to all the gooey locations around the place!!! |

Title: Re: Favourite Music Video Post by Eva on Mar 1st, 2005, 6:38pm i'm going with the GALB video... i think it's their best so far.. |
