Title: Dreams about the Goo? Post by SupaFireCross on Feb 18th, 2005, 11:11am Hm, I had the most interesting dream last night about the Goos. Anyone else ever dream about them? I do quite frequently, but I think this one takes the cake. Okay, so for some reason John, Robby, Mike and I were randomly stranded on a tropical island. Mike went to go look for firewood and Robby was busy trying to find a way to update the Goo official site (WTF, on a desert island? Maybe that's why they haven't updated for a while...), so John and I decided to take a swim. Well, thise huge wave came and swept me out to sea, and the last thing I saw was John panicking trying to swim out to me but I blacked out. I woke up alone on some other random island with a bloody nose. While I was busy trying to find a tissue, I found a rickety old raft by the shore. So, I took it and tried to navigate back to the other remote island. I had to go under all of the rainforesty type canopies, and tigers and leopards and the like kept lashing out at me. Eventually I made it back to the island with naught but a few scratches from the large cats, and apparently the GGD had managed to build a perfectly good house. So I walk into the house where Robby is now updating the website, Mike is cooking something resembling fish, and John was pacing. John looks over, sees me, starts crying and runs to me, pulling me into a huge hug. He said he thought I had died and how he was so upset. Robby told him to pull himself together, John laughed, hugged me some more and told me he was madly in love with me. He looked at my "battle-wounds" and kissed them to make them better (which worked, btw). Anyone have any they'd like to share? :daydream: |

Post by gooberrygirl on Feb 18th, 2005, 12:54pm I've had so many ggd dreams over the years I can't remember them all but I know most of them are concerts where I'm in the front row and having an awesome time. The one dream that sticks out tho' is one where Johnny was my History teacher for a day and he was wearin a knitted vest that was a mix of blue/yellow/pink yarn lol and I can't remember clearly but I think the shirt he wore under that, was yellow ...the weird thing is John wasn't teaching history...he was teaching us the words to Here Is Gone lol and I'm the only one who knew the words (I was so proud of myself) LOL! |

I rarely ever dream, and I've only had one dream with the Goo Goo Dolls in it, but they weren't characters like they were in all those other ones. I went to a show and was surprised to find Mike singing some rap song, but after that I was invited up to the stage to play String Of Lies, and somehow I knew the guitar solo. �After that, I played Name and then left the stage. That's it, nothing too amazing. �;) |

Phantom John was taking me down to his scary under-opera house lair, and we were singing the awesome PotO song. It played out just like the movie, I came up behind him while he was playing the guitar (yup, the guitar) and touched his face. He seemed to be digging it until I peeled his mask off. He freaked out and pushed me to the floor, screaming and trying to cover his face. I said "Dude...there's nothing wrong with your face." "..." He pulled his hand away and of course, he looked like normal John. "The curse must be broken!" "WTF? Curse? What is this Beauty and the Beast? I'm leaving!" And I walked away from him and tried to find my way out but got lost. The End. :D |

It isn't fair, mine are always bizarre and make no sense! :-/ I did, however, have a nice one awhile back. Here we go . . . As the dream starts out, I'm in my classroom, sitting on the desk, watching my classmates writing Goo lyrics on the board. Then, as I'm about to flip out at my best friend for getting the lyrics to "Name" wrong, in walk Robby and Mike!! Oddly enough, I acted completely normal, never asked for an autograph or anything. I walk back to my desk, point out to Robby that I'm the same height as him, and carry on a normal conversation with the two guys. I can't remember what we were talking about, but I remember that about 2 minutes after Robby and Mike started talking to me, this really bubbly (as in blonde bimbo) girl in my class (that I DON'T get along with) came up behind Robby and started talking to him. She started flirting like a total skank, and Robby simply looked over his shoulder at her, frowned, and then continued his conversation with me! ;D Anyway, after awhile I started to wonder where John was, so I walked around the school looking for him. Finally, I went to the gymnasium (we have a stage there) and there was John, up on stage, singing "Only One". I grinned, went up on stage, picked up a guitar that was laying on the floor and --- My alarm clock went off! :'( Ugh, I was soooo totally ticked off for the rest of the day, but then I watched LIB again, and was all happy and gooey! ^_^ Well, that's one of my many Goo dreams! Remember: Always check the gymnasium! |

Haha, there seem to be a lot of dreams where the Goos visit someone's school. There was one already mentioned on here where John was a history teacher (lmao), and I had one a long time ago that they visited my school but I don't remember much of it. |

Post by goober_1013 on Feb 19th, 2005, 10:52pm ok, i tried to imagine rzeznik in a yarn sweater and yellow shirt and i'm scared that i can get a visual of that and it isn't pretty! *cringe* i've had a couple dreams but the one that i always remember took place at a carnival. Goo had this little booth set up, think of Lucy's (from Charlie Brown) psychiatrist booth. they are signing autographs, but you must provide your own paper. i get in line and all these people have pics of them to have autographed and i have nothing! so i dig through my purse and all i can find are old progress reports from high school. which wouldn't be a big deal except they were all F's!! and i'm thinking, "Goo can't know i'm failing pre-cal!!" |

Then Robby and Johnny pulled up beside us in a white car and asked us where we were going. Two of my friends kinda lived in the same direction so they told the goos. Robby and john said they would drive them home cos thats kinda where they were headed anyway. But my house was in the other direction so they said i'd just have to catch the train! �:-/ I watched them drive away with my friends, they were waving out the back window. Then i was really sad �:'( you guys have hilarious dreams. i wanna have a GOOd GOO dream! |

Post by buffalowing43 on Feb 21st, 2005, 12:44pm i'm prolly one of a handful of men to have a dream about them; in fact i had one last night: i was taking a walk in deleware park in Buffalo and I walked into a random building so i see the band playing behind a glass wall so I walk in and just walk around them as if they're on display or something; and they don't wanna stop playing since they're recording...so then the producer gives me this dirty look and all of John's groupies hit me w.there purses as i left... on a related note-they were playing a song i never heard before and it sounded really goood (perhaps a vision of the future!?!?!?) |

I was the only one there! For some reason they were playing a gig on my University campus (which is impossible anyway since there is no big venue on campus...) and I was the only one who knew about it. It was awesome. So they were just playing and, like, talking to me the whole time...and then after they finished playing we all went out to, like, a bar and we were just chatting...I was talking to John about how no-one really knows the Goos over here, and he was all...like really interested in what I had to say and was listening intently to me (lol no-one EVER does that!) and Mike wasn't saying much but then me and Robby were joking around and stuff and I was asking him if there was any chance of getting the Good Charamel bands to tour England and he was like 'sure' and then asked me if I wanted to help organise the tour...ahahaha. Awesomeness. Why did I have to wake up? :'( |

Post by girlnamedgrace on Feb 23rd, 2005, 6:15am I always dream(really weird freaky dreams) My dream last night was John in a dress(see John pants thread, page 11) but my weirdest Goo dream is as follows: A friend and I are in another friends house, in the front room, floating near the ceiling(like you do) loads of people I know are there, then Robby walks in, waves up at me and says "hey Grace" So I say "hey, Robby why are you here" "Oh I came up for the day with Mike" Cue Mike walking past to go to next room where he stares at his new lip piercing in the mirror!!! Then its time for them to go so I put them in A barbie car and push it along the road. They are both Barbies now and Robby is one of those baby ones and keeps falling out. I complain to mike and he says "oh hes always doing that" Then I give them a big push and they roll down the road(I'm outside now). I go back to the front door of the house and meet John and we walk in together. Then I'm floating near the ceiling again w/ John at the other side of the room. He offers apple slices off a clear glass plate w/ a gold edge, and I say "no, I'm alright, Thanks!" How weird. Must get them analysed sometime! |

So I suddenly developed the capability to be a contortionist and I turned around backwards. and you know the fencing they use, well I did a half backbend and grabbed the railin on otherside and flipped over the rail and managed to get on stage before any security noticed. I looked like Wonderwoman or something...LOL then ....you remember how Johnny says can you give me that....Can ..you give ..me ..that... in LIB??? well he was asking in same tone.... how'd U do that....How DID you DO that??? and stood there all bewildered and then made me do a contortionist move on stage while they played a guitar intro...... WIERD .... cuz I'm so very UNFLEXABLE. I think what made me dream it was a combo of seein 52 yr old young looking women on Oprah the other day doing all kinds of crazy contortionist type flexing and I watched LIB while going to sleep. |

He got out some sort of cord/string stuff and tied it around my arm and basically made me look like a guitar. then he put one hand on my waist and one hand on the "frets" (my arm) and told me to jump. I did, and so did he, so it looked like he had just done a rad move in the air with his guitar. (me) yeah, then he untied me and pulled me towards him. We begun to dance.. It was wonderful. ;) Then all of a sudden we were walking around and i asked him, "do you like living in California or New York better?" and he was like, "well, NY. wait, no, California. Because i have a huge crush on ashlee simpson and she has sex with everyone. its so hot." (WTF??!) (HAHAH.. whats wrong with him?!) then he gave me a multitude of hugs and it ended.. it was a pretty funny dream...lol |

Post by RogueUK on Mar 1st, 2005, 1:59pm Ok, I was watching LIA last night right before I went to sleep, and I think that might be what prompted me to have a Goo dream last night...and the dream I had was really weird. So first of all, I was in this random house...no idea who's house it was supposed to be...anyway for some reason John and Robby and Mike are sitting there...in what looked like someone's bedroom, and John says we're all gonna watch a movie (as you do) so I went over to sit on the bed, and John and Robby started having this fight about who got to sit next to me (if only guys would fight like that over me in real life! :P ) so in the end I said I'd sit in the middle and they could sit either side of me. So the movie starts (no idea what movie it was supposed to be) and Robby kept sort of leaning his head on my shoulder as he was sat next to me...and John was eating popcorn and wouldn't give me any. All this time Mike is sat on a chair in the corner, and Mike's complaining about how he doesn't like this movie and he wants to watch a different one, but John and Robby keep telling him to shut up because it's their favourite movie... LMAO. This is the most random dream EVER! Anyway, after that, somehow we were all in this weird sort of wooden room...and me, John and Robby are sitting on the floor, and Mike's in the corner (what is it with Mike and corners?! LMAO!) sitting at a drum kit, and he keeps playing the drums, and John keeps yelling at Mike to stop it because he's trying to talk to me and can't hear with all the drumming. So then Mike would stop for a while, but then he'd start drumming again and John would yell again...so I start talking to Robby and we're talking about how The Juliet Dagger's album is really good...and he's telling me about producing it and stuff... Then the guys all got up to leave, and as they are leaving Mike kisses me (just, like a peck on the cheek, nothing immensly exciting :P ) and then John grabs me in this big hug and gives me a peck on the cheek...but then Robby wouldn't kiss me (rejected! :'( hahaha) and John was annoyed with him and kept saying to Robby "Why wouldn't you kiss her?" and Robby just looked kind of embarrassed and walked off... OMG writing all that made me laugh so much. How weird and random is that dream?! ;D |

The night I had this was the same night they were on the NBA ALLSTAR thingy. Now keep in mind while reading this that NYC is about 1 1/2 hrs from my Mom house and the trip I was going to be taking to CT the next day. K so I'm driving in my car down the hwy and I got GALB blarin on the radio, My 2 kids in car 9 & 2. I'm singin away havin a blast, kids are singin too. I'm beatin on the steerin wheel to the beat. I'm in the middle lane and out of perifiel vision I see an approching vehicle comin up on the left from behind, they're passin me and I'm singin away. then I see the vehicl isn't really passing but kinda drivin at same speed and won't just go by. So I take a quick look to the left to see whats up and I look back to rd and I do a double take cuz I'm like whoa wait a min, it couldn't be ...YUP you guessed it, it's the white van! In the center bench seats is Johnny and he's Gaulking as if he knew what I was singin, and was gettin a kick outta it. So now I'm like totally freakin, foot is justa quiverin on the gas pedal. So I'm tryin like hell not to crash the car right? Well I finally manage to muster a smile and he smiles back and is kinda laughin, in spite of it all. So I make the beggin hand gesture, (Imagine like prayin) and gesture pull over...PLEASE (really beggin) So I see Johnny sayin somethin to the driver and he signals over to the center and I move over to breakdown lane. They do the same. So now we're in breakdown and the van is ahead of me. Johnny gets out and starts walkin to my vehicle. He's wearin his green bomber pants or whatever u call em and is wearin a muscle shirt. He struts to the car and opens the door and gets in. I was tryin to pick JAW up and he's all like hey, how's it goin. He's like I like your bumper sticker, thats why I was starin. (my bumper reads " My other ride is Johnny Rzeznik, if your not a fan you won't understand") So now I'm embarrased and he's laughin and he says where you headin. I say to moms in CT. I say... You?? (where you headin) he says were on our way back to Buffalo. So I ask if they would PLEASE have lunch with me and the kids. So he ponders and then looks at me and says you wait here. He get out and I'm like lovin the pants and all the contents within as he struts back to the van. He's tellin the guys something and he comes back all smiley. (I have a fascination with his smile its so WHITE and angelic) anyway he gets back in and says follow the van. I'm all a tingle and off we go. He started to talk about how he saw me singin and my 9 yr old finally re enters the dream and says and I quote " My mom LOVES you!!! and she listens to the GOO GOO DOLLS ALL the time" Mind you she said this in a tone as if she wasn't all that happy about my consistancy! Then she precedes with ...and I quote " I'm quite sick of you, if you don't mind my sayin so...." I wanted to kill her! Johnny just laughed and turned to her and said I'm really sorry your mom makes you listen to us all the time, but I'm really a nice guy. Then my 2 yr old says Mommys Goo Goo Doll!!! Next thing I know we're pullin into a resturaunt parkin lot and we go in but the inside looks like McDonals and Johnny says I WANT A McCHICKEN!!! (Listen to commentary on LIB, cuz John couldn't get a chicken sandwhich during the whole tour) So we go sit and my hands are shakin so Johnny takes my hands and is tryin to calm me down and Robby's chewin with his mouth open. Annoyin John ! Mike is sayin I'm surrounded by idiots, and he keeps referencing the time cuz he's gotta get his run in and my 2 yr old is askin where's elmo. Total kaos and I was gettin mad cuz we couldn't talk.....Next thing I know my daughter dropped her bottle and she kept hollarin mama baba mama baba. Then I woke to my daughter really sayin mama baba. I was SO MAD! So then next mornin Im on Hwy about half way to CT and we're on 290west and I'm listenin to GALB and outta the left perifeal I see a vehicle approaching and I look and it was a van full of chinamen. So now I was like WELL �they COULD be on they're way home today from NY MAYBE it was a premonition....tooo wierd. I was on high alert though and lookin at all vehicles around me. LOL Sorry this took so long. But thats how my dreams are. Usually very realistic. I been meaning to post this for a week and hadn't for obvious time issues |
