Title: head's up.... Post by american_girl on Feb 13th, 2005, 11:21am Just a little head's up... saw Ryan Cabrera last week at his opening tour show and he mentioned something that some of you might be interested in.... his next single to be released will be a song called " 40 Kinds of Sadness" , not only did our own Mr Rzeznik do a fine job of producing this track along with the rest of the album, but he also lends his voice to backing vocals on this track and our own little Greg Suran played electric guitar on this track and several others on Ryan's cd... |

Title: Re: head's up.... Post by SuzieGoo on Feb 13th, 2005, 3:58pm Rooooose!! I was there too. What a great show. Isn't he just so adorable and fun? Did you get a chance to meet him? My son was with me and really loves his music. He was an absolute doll to my son. Talked to him like they were old friends. I got a picture of the two of them but haven't gotten it developed yet. I wish I had known you were going I would have met up with ya. I really like "40 Kinds of Sadness" though "Take it All Away" is my favorite. Funny thing....Nick's favorite is "Illusions"...the one he wrote with John. ;) Later chica. Be well, ~ Suz |

Aww! You are going to have a GREAT time. It is one of the best shows I have ever seen. He is so cute and funny and talks SO much. Lots of goofing around, funny dancing...well, and great music. If you want to meet him they are selling CDs at each of his shows and if you buy one you can get the autographed booklet from him after the show. He's a sweetheart. Gee, am I gushing? LOL Have fun! ~ Suz |

Title: Re: head's up.... Post by american_girl on Feb 13th, 2005, 4:27pm Suzie!!!!!!! I wish I had seen you! Wendy and I did the indoor meet and greet after the show cause we had something to give him and he started laughing at how much fun we'd had in Tampa out in the rain last summer (that was my preresiquite to the Buffalo monsoon complete with dodging lightening bolts to get into the arena!)... then we ran into his drummer and keyboardist outside and they were both really nice as well... we saw Ryan a few minutes later and chatted with him as well... a lot of parents we talked to said they really love the way he doesn't dismiss any of the kids and is very respectful to them... I think that along with a nice clean show, and the fact that he is just damn entertaining is going to keep him around for a while! on a side note... I got that card you and Nick sent me from the Hard Rock about 2 weeks ago.. thanks so much! call me soon we'll do lunch! |

Title: Re: head's up.... Post by sarah713goo on Feb 13th, 2005, 5:35pm Yay... I love 40 kinds of sadness--it seems more "Ryan" than On the Way Down and some of the other songs on Take it All Away...I sort of miss the good old Ryan. ugh...I tried to get tickets to see him in March and February when he's coming to DC TWICE, but I have dance competitions both of the weekends that he's coming and I can't miss practice during the week before a competition--talk about bad timing! :( |

Title: Re: head's up.... Post by american_girl on Feb 14th, 2005, 2:31am not sure which guitarist you're referring to... I met Taylor last summer, and the drummer (Jordan)and keyboardist (Josh) this year... they are all very accessible, you just need to keep your eyes open before and after the show... Ryan was outside before the show we went to as well, but we didn't see him until later.... |

We ordered Ryan's album on import and really like it. 40 Kinds of Sadness is a great track so hope it does well. Hadn't spotted that Greg also appears on the album so thanks for letting us know. "Illusions" is so gooey isn't it?! Love it! L&N |
