Title: i think i really scared someone today... Post by MonochromeDelirious on Dec 13th, 2004, 10:29pm so i'm at work (starbucks) and in walks this chic with the black stacked GGD sweatshirt on....well i of course am immediately going "OH MY GOSH! YOU'RE A GOO FAN?!!!! because i never see anyone in my area wearing goo stuff or being really into them or anything....and i was asking her all these questions and she was just looking at me like i was crazy....she said she had seen them in NC and met them at a meet and greet. so i asked her if she had gotten LIB and she said she hadn't....tsk tsk....anyway, i made her drink on the house and told her to get out there and buy the dvd!!! so i figured yeah i'm sure i totally freaked her out...but i made a good Goo impression, right?!!!! |

Post by gooberrygirl on Dec 13th, 2004, 11:11pm :hahaha: I had a similar experience not that long ago, maybe a few weeks ago, I saw a girl at school wearing the stacked goo logo sweater, I think I freaked her out...I just stopped in my tracks and said OMG! You're a Goo Goo Dolls fan!!! I apologized to her for being so random but I told her it's rare that I see someone wearing goo merch then I told her bout my radio show and how I've been playing GALB, but I don't think she knew what I was talking bout, probably thought I was mad lol |

Back when Gutterflower came out I was working in the Home Entertainment department and the day the cd came out everytime someone bought one I gave them like 102 questions and wouldn't shut up about the Goo's. Haha oh well, it's just our fanmenship coming out, so it's all goo ;) |

He's mildly interested in Goo, so I figured this might hook him. i think that should be an assignment...each week we try to bring ONE new person into the fold. lol <---silly and had a REALLY long bad day! |

Post by Silvergirl on Dec 14th, 2004, 8:15pm We all are Quite guilty of being GOO pushers i have a pic of "the girls" and ( no not the the boobs) ;D my co-worker,a friend and i from the paso show and it has GOO GIRLS PASO 2004 at my work station so that always strike up a conversation, and of course behind me is the group shot of "the girls" from the buffalo show and then i go on and on and w/ it being on direct tv a lot of the drug rep have watched it and left notes on my work station :nanner: of course one guy thought it was the go gos but thats alright he can be clueless he watched lib and liked it!!!! If someone tells me they like the Goo Goo Dolls I just immediately start asking them all these questions like what's your favorite song, have you seen them live, etc. and then I have to realize that just because they like a band doesn't mean they're quite as obsessed as all of us. It's good to know I'm not alone! Eveytime I meet someone who knows who the band are I just hassle them. LOL. I met a guy at a party who was a Goos fan and I just followed him round all night..."So what's your favourite album? What's your favourite track? What's your favourite acoustic track?" Haha. I think he was sorry he'd ever admitted to knowing who they were. Then, I even push Goo on people who don't have the faintest idea what I'm talking about. I just bring them up randomly in conversation and tell everyone present how great they are! And then on the net I'm always preaching Goo and Good Charamel to everyone - I have the Good Charamel web addy in my sig on several boards, and I harrass people to go there... Haha. Random off-topic moment - I don't know whether it's the lack of sleep or what, but I just looked at the dancing nana to the left of the post...and he looks like he's dancing in time to the music. It's 'Girl right next to me..." Oh that is TOOOO funny... Now you all think I'm nuts... |

Post by googoodollsfan on Sep 5th, 2007, 8:43pm yup, yup. in my area too, i dont see that many goo fans. but when i do, i start to get all happy and stuff. sometimes they'll get asked questions like: 1.whats your favorite song? 2.have you seen them live before? 3.how long have you been a fan? and a bunch more.......... ;D :D ;) anyway, we are not crazy, mad, looney, psycho, or anything of the sort. we are just dedicated fans that are interested and enthusiastic about other fans of the goos. :D :D |
