Post by rzezniksangel on Aug 18th, 2008, 7:14am Don't worry about being induced...hopefully you won't have the complications I had and you'll be able to deliver naturally...but beware, the contractions when you're induced are INTENSE! I was so happy when the doctor decided to go ahead with the c-section and put me out of my misery! You must be getting anxious for the 29th to come already! Make sure you let us know the big news! I had a couple of check-ups where I lost weight too...nothing to be concerned about unless it's a significant drop...losing a few pounds at this point is absolutely normal for us bigger girls. what are you going to do about work? are you looking for something temporary? or are you going to be able to stay out until after baby comes along? |

Post by pink boa lady on Aug 19th, 2008, 11:41am i can't wait for the 29th! i'm looking for work, but 1) the market sucks here and 2) the interview i went on the guy kept telling me it would be hard for him to hire somebody that would be out for a month. said he'd call me this week to let me know. if he doesn't call, i think i might just have to report him to the LA labor people about discrimination of a pregnant lady! so it's just wait and see right now. |

LOL I was fortunate that both my kids sat high so I never had the bladder issue. I did however have a bruised rib courtesy of my daughter. She had a foot or hand wedged into my ribs because of how high she was. And, I have about a 2 inch space between my hip bone and rib cage ... let's say I'm height challenged ;) So that little foot/hand stayed there and kicked me harder and harder to the point she made me cry once. It was such a relief to finally have her out of my rib cage. |

Post by rzezniksangel on Sep 9th, 2008, 7:24pm I'm referring to the extremely uncomfortable first few days of excessive bleeding (and having the nurses come in to clean you up in the hospital the first night)...which extends into the first few weeks post delivery. Depending on how you delivered, it may not last as long or be as gross as my experience was...but 4 weeks of feeling like you have your period is not the way I wanted to spend my time. And ouch Shannon! That had to be painful. I got a few swift kicks in the ribs, but nothing to the point of brusing...I guess it all depends on how they situate themselves in there. |

I read up on everything I could before I went in for delivery, and nowhere did I see anything about a shot, nor did my doctor tell me about it. I may have to look into that when we're ready to have the next one.... I could have been spared the discomfort...that would have been nice to know. I've read on some of the pregnancy websites that it can last as long as 8 weeks, so I'm considering myself lucky that it stopped at 4. And Cassie, I'm not trying to scare you...I just don't want you to be surprised when it happens like I was. |

Post by pink boa lady on Sep 12th, 2008, 10:22pm i'm not gonna be scared! lol since i have really short dots (like 2 days and that's it!), i'm hoping that maybe it won't be that bad *crosses fingers* i'm still trying to get my ultrasound pic's scanned...hopefully this weekend while hubby is gone. but then that means i'd have to figure out the machine on my own. also found out my mom and friend are going to throw me a shower near the beginning of nov. so now i really have to get the floors put in and the kitchen arranged back to normal. and i get to make my invites since i'm the creative one. lol oh yeah and they're bugging me to go register since i know what i'm having. now i have to go figure out what is making a click click noise in the bedroom...i can't find it... ahhhhhhhhh! |

Post by pink boa lady on Oct 10th, 2008, 10:40pm had a regular check up the other day and i already have a little trouble maker! dr.'s heartbeat machine wasn't working, so she gave me an ultrasound to check that out. well my little boy decided it was time to sleep. and sleep. and sleep. he wouldn't move, wouldn't do anything. giving the dr. and me a scare. dr. pressed harder and harder on me and about a minute or so later he finally decided, enough already! did a complete roll over and finally heard the heartbeat. she's also changed my inducing...she doesn't know when she's going to do it. so now i have no due date to tell anybody! it could be dec. 14th or earlier, but not as late as the 21st (my original date). and we have a name picked out! my maiden name and my late dad's 1st name. hubby thought of it...thomas andrew...basically flipping my dad's name around. his initals will be taz and i have no problem believing that's what he'll be. lol |

It's killing me to wait that long!!! If you need ideas of what you may need, let me know. When I registered at Babies R Us they gave me a checklist with the basics on it while I was scanning everything. It's amazing how many things a baby needs (and how much they'll never use!) Register for everything you can think of...from bath stuff to diapers to pajamas and everything in between. I have enough clothes to get Ethan through his first year and then some! |

Post by pink boa lady on Oct 17th, 2008, 10:56pm i've got to register for clothes, but i'm like ok, people will probably just give that not knowing or wanting to look at the registery stuff. i'm not to sure on bath stuff...like the soaps and stuff, i saw they have sensitive skin diapers and wipes but not the soaps (that i saw). if the kid is anything like me, he'll be allergic to everything! i probably need the sensitive things more than he does so i don't break out changing his diaper! ::) i'd wait a few more months and then take ethan. i couldn't wait that long being so close! we had already planned on going...ok, i planned it ;)...to go for halloween time (halloween and food & wine fest) next year before we even thought about having baby. and of course it's the 1st year that i decide not to go for my b-day and they give free admission on b-days this year. ::) taz will almost be 11 months by then and we're bringing 2 grandma's as backup. lol |

You'll definitely get alot of clothes from people who don't buy stuff off the registry, but I'd pick out some onesies and pajamas in a few different sizes, just in case. �I think Huggies makes sensitive skin formula bath stuff. �If you can't find it let me know and I'll see if I can pick some up for you here. Oh, and make sure to put a bunch of refills for the diaper genie on there. If Thomas goes through diapers the way Ethan does, you'll go through them faster than you can even imagine! |

Post by pink boa lady on Nov 23rd, 2008, 12:50am new update... i had my final ultrasound the other day and i've got a big boy growing! he's 6.5lbs and i still have a little less than a month. i was 7.5lbs when i was born. dr's still think he's going to be about 9 or more lbs. he did a little over double his growth in a months time. little did i know when i asked my husband if he wanted to have fat little babies with me that we'd seriously have this fat little one. i told him he took it a little to far and seriously! lol had my shower last weekend. we got a bunch of good stuff. my friend that has a year old son gave me 2 gianormous shopping bags of clothes she had for him. so we're good for clothes for at least maybe a year. yay! i'd love to post pics, but i still can't find the camera cord (since july!). hubby has hidden it somewhere and i'm gonna have to go buy a new one. |

It seems like just yesterday that you started this thread. My son was almost 9 lbs when he was born too. All my friends had these itty bitty little babies and mine was huge. He was at birth what their kids were at 2-3 months. It used to make me laugh. But he was fat and healthy. That's a good thing. Hopefully you'll find that camera cord by the time he's born. We're gonna definitely need to see pictures then. ;D |

Post by pink boa lady on Dec 4th, 2008, 11:50pm so at 37.5 weeks, my stubborn child still hasn't dropped ANY! dr was already to set an induction date, but said maybe next week. so tues. the 9th i should know. it looks like it'll be a c-section since he won't budge any. but yesterday i got an awesome deal on a crib. it didn't have a price on it...after 15 minutes, they gave me the price $249...it was the last one...and they gave me a discount since it was the floor model...$175! and it's one of those spiffy 4 in 1 cribs. so i don't have to buy another bed ever! now i'm just sitting around waiting for something to happen... |

Post by pink boa lady on Dec 10th, 2008, 11:14am i haven't done the 3D ultrasound, wanted to but they're just too much $$$. the hospital has one, but they don't use it. ::) i'm now scheduled for a c section monday at noon. yay! dr figures if she waits any longer i'll just be even more uncomfy. he's still floating and won't come down for induction. i'm going looking for my camera cord this afternoon...i have a great belly shot i took yesterday when i had to dress up as santa. no padding needed. lol |
