Title: Happy Valentine's Day! Post by Shannon on Feb 14th, 2007, 9:53am Happy Valentine's! I've been married 12 years now and the hubby and I decided long ago that we should do something nice for each other every day instead of once a year. So we really don't celebrate big. I bought the kids and hubby a surprise treat but that's about the extent of it. What are you guys doing to celebrate? |

Title: Re: Happy Valentine's Day! Post by the redo on Feb 14th, 2007, 11:16am Me? I do nothing. But I have fond memories of working as a florist on Valentine's Day and all of the madness that occurs. All of WNY is snowed in today. Do you know how many babies are going to be born come November 14th or so? |

Title: Re: Happy Valentine's Day! Post by the purple o on Feb 14th, 2007, 11:23am Seeing as Maine is getting the biggest snow storm for this winter, everything is closed, and the roads are horrible, I'm not going anywhere today. |

Title: Re: Happy Valentine's Day! Post by Shannon on Feb 14th, 2007, 11:33am Yep, we have a snow day today too. We got quite a bit of snow yesterday but not nearly as bad as Indiana, Ohio, Ontario and WNY....so I'm grateful. I think we got about 5-8" of snow....not too bad. Enough for the kids to play in. |

Title: Re: Happy Valentine's Day! Post by the redo on Feb 14th, 2007, 1:30pm Haha. I just found out my sister is spending Valentine's Day trapped at the airport in Atlanta. This morning she flew out of Buffalo for Daytona Beach to see her boyfriend who's racing down there. The flight out of Buffalo was delayed an hour and her connecting flight left about 10 minutes before she arrived. Next fight? 9pm. |

Title: Re: Happy Valentine's Day! Post by DWG on Feb 14th, 2007, 2:04pm I spent the day shoveling the frozen rain/sleet/snow(?) stuff off of my driveway. I bet my husband will come home with some lame box of candy. Last time it was a Whitman's sampler. The candies tasted like chemicals. My son thought they were okay, but my daughter & I were spitting the candies out every time we tried to eat one. Hope he gets something better this time . Really, I'd rather have some cookies from a bakery instead. I'm really just hoping the folks at work don't call me in this evening. There's always someone who can't make it in when it snows. |

::: looks around ::: Alright ... who let Mr. Happy into this party? ::) Mr. Cookie and I don't do much for Valentine's Day. Last year, he got me a stuffed, heart-shaped wheat crust pizza (stuffed with spinach and mozzarella), and it was friggin' delicious. I requested that again but he doesn't think he'll be able to pull it off this year as he's training someone else today. For him ... I got him a card. And made him a cake. And made a nice dinner. Isn't that enough? Valentine's Day? Ehh ... who really cares? When you've got the perfect man, every day is Valentine's Day! |
