Wow.. what can I say other than I am dead tired from all the fun I had with my girlfriends! 5 of us on Friday night went out for dinner, had a blast! Then Saturday we hooked up with 2 more of our friends and had an awesome time tailgating before the big concert. When John first came on stage, I screamed to Erin that he cut his hair! 2nd thing we noticed, he was wearing jeans! I mean, what's up with that!? LOL Erin and I were betting on his typical clothing attire and we were TOTALLY wrong except for the black wife beater shirt. However, it was covered with a white shirt! Both of us lost the bets! LOL They guys totally rocked and Erin and I couldn't stand still. I called silvergirl 2x and neither times she picked up! silly! LOL 2nd time I said, "Girl, you gotta learn to pick up your phone!" and then let her listen to some of the song they guys sounded and looked awesome! i so can barely wait for the new album. I was originally supposed to be in the 400 section, but yeah right, not when there were empty seats available! LOL So Erin and I booked it down to the 200 section and were able to stay there the entire time! woohoo! Now only if I had been thinking, I should have went down and asked the 1000's of employes... "Can you take me in as a guest?" LOL Oh well... it was still a lot of fun. After the concert, we just headed home because we were dead tired due to the late night before. So headed home, had some drinks while we sat around the fire pit ou in the back. What a nice way to wind down after being so hyper for so long! Sunday morning, we did some gift shopping and I bought my family some things. Then Monday, Erin took me to Port Washington. It's right on the lake and beautiful. Took the train Monday afternoon after giving a sniffly good bye to Erin. I'm so tired but I want to do it all over again! lol I'll see what pics I have that I can post later tonight. -Barb

its good to be back! i tried to login from my friend Erin's house, but she has dial-up and OMG it drove me nuts! LOL so for all of you that dial-up... I feel for ya! LOL I'm still in shock about JR cutting his hair. I couldn't stop saying, "OMG, he cut his hair!" at least now I only say, "Wow, the hair is short" LOL

HA ... I've been waiting for your review Barb. Thought maybe you dropped off the face of the earth like Kari has. Where is she by the way? I'm so glad you had a good time. I couldn't believe it when I saw the pictures either. I felt like I was looking at pics from the Dizzy era. Now that I've gotten over the shock of him cutting his hair I like it.

Here's a little poem I wrote about our weekend.... Erin, my best friend forever She's definitely clever She was the weekend hostess That provided the mostess Thought she's always late I guess it's just fate Off to her work we go She orders a pitcher of I don't know Pounder & LC are only a little lost Perhaps the directions were tossed Now, up & down & around to the homestead I'm holding in my cookies with dread MO arrives with cool gifts Our spirits she lifts Now onto scavenger hunt of thrills I know it gave Paula some chills Our beloved tickemaster Had us hunting even faster Jovi Express, Chicken Coop, slide Our tickets she did hide Confusion, barn, car, light A ticket for each, we didn't fight Now we're off to be spies Hoping to see some hot guys Julie joins us there Probably late because of her hair Interrogation of Barb in the shower She would have rather had a flower Then dancing the night away We definitely "Had a Nice Day" Up bright and early for tailgating Finally!! We were tired of waiting Communication with Tara was bad I’m so glad she wasn’t mad Hamburgers, hotdogs, exploding brats Then into the concert where they turned up the watts Robert Randolph & family band I covered my ears with my hands Standing at railing listening to Goo Cop big and scary, I nearly poo’d! Then came Bon Jovi rocking the night We were all singing “it’s alright” Whistling, jumping, screaming The weekend had even more meaning Sunday the departures one & two So quiet with nearly nothing to do Hulk Hogan and the lil old lady who swallowed a fly I really wasn’t looking forward to saying good bye Monday up with the sun, oh brother! Taylor saying “Word to your Mother” Walking on breaker rocks, fresh bird poop To my toe stuck the gloppy glupe Back to the station I go Erin saying not to cry ya know A weekend of memories I’ll keep What happens at Jovifest, I won’t say a peep To my wonderful friends I’ve come to cherish This poem I dedicate, just hope it’s not garish!
