Just In - Goo Goo Dolls Ok’d to Perform Outdoors in Brockport Posted by Caurie Putnam - Brockport • March 24, 2011 The Goo Goo Dolls will be performing outdoors at SUNY Brockport next month. At last night’s Village of Brockport board meeting, the board paved the way for an outdoor performance by the hit band The Goo Goo Dolls. SUNY Brockport’s Student Government asked the board for an exemption to the village noise ordinance to allow the Goo Goo Dolls to perform along Alumni Walk. According to deputy mayor Daniel Kuhn, the exemption was granted. The concert will be April 17th from 3-6pm. Check back for ticket information here when it becomes available. The Goo Goo Dolls are an alternative rock band that originated in Buffalo in 1986. They have had 14 top-ten singles and have sold nearly nine millions albums. Some of their hits include: “Name,” “Iris” and “Slide.” http://blogs.democratandchronicle.com/brockport/2011/03/24/just-in-goo-g oo-dolls-okd-to-perform-outdoors-in-brockport/

I didn't know you or your kids went there. Cool. Are you going to the show?

Both my kids went to SUNY, but they were at different campus locations. SUNY has something like 63 campuses across NY state. http://www.suny.edu/student/campuses_map.cfm Neither of them attended at Brockport, so I'm not going to the show; it's very far from where I live. (Funny that the concert is listed for 3-6PM though. Bad timing if a kid has class.)

Not being from NY, I didn't realize SUNY had so many campuses. I noticed that about the concert time too. It's very early for a show.
