Objective -It's a very good album. Extremely radio friendly. Catchy songs. Not surprised if it becomes the most successful goo album. Definitely better than GutterFlower and Let Love in. Personal -It sounds like everything else in the radio. It seems that the Goo's threw away the past and only listen to modern rock and adult music for the last few years only on the radio. Good - Soldier is the best song. It's the closest they got to old school good. Bad - There is no one rocking song that lives up to "Let love in, big machine, naked, long way down, etc". This album is nothing like aboynamedgoo, superstarcarwash, or holdmeup, and will disapoint most fans who are looking for that. Conclusion -Love or hate it, as somebody said in an article, "the goos are a force to be wreckon with". This album has shown that they are still here to stay, if not surpass their previous success. They have succeeded with music that was different from everything else, yet have become masters at adapting their style to the current enviornment. It's very hard to determine which will be the next single because most of the songs can become singles. I hope they do release most of the songs as singles because I can most of them being on the radio.

Honestly, I'm with you on the fact that their older stuff is better. I'm a VERY big fan of Superstar Car Wash and love every single song on that album. However, with that said, I understand it's a different time now. The Goos are doing what they have to do to remain in the spotlight. I haven't gotten a chance to listen to the album yet (I pre-ordered the deluxe edition, but I'm away at college so I won't get to listen to it till I go home over Labor Day) so I can't comment on the songs just yet. From what I've heard though... WAY better than Let Love In.

Thanks for your thoughts Pon. Your review seems very objective. I like that you looked at it from all angles and took into consideration positives and negatives. I listened to the samples on Amazon and can't wait to hear the whole thing. 3 days until release. I love the anticipation!!! That's half the fun.

| I feel like people shouldn't be looking for this album to be anything like ABNG, SSCW or HMU. The Goo's are moving forward with their sound, not going back.

You can't blame them because that is a huge reason why ppl are fan of the goo's. The goo's can start rapping or dancing..that's moving forward, but that's just not the reason why i'm a goo fan. Thank go for "soldier" because without that song, I would have called it quits and consider the goo an old favorite. I look forward to the next album for that one cool song. on Aug 29th, 2010, 5:01pm, sympathy_0 wrote: I feel like people shouldn't be looking for this album to be anything like ABNG, SSCW or HMU.
