Lauren, Nicole and I have had our Detroit tickets for months. We had plans to meet before the show for dinner. I get an email from Terri (Tripper) on Friday who tells me that she won the 96.3 WDVD radio contest for tickets, soundcheck & meet and greet passes and wants me to be her +1. So of course I want to go. That's an opportunity of a lifetime. Thanks so much to Terri for always including me as her +1. She's the luckiest Goo fan I know and I'm always beyond grateful when she thinks to ask me to come along. Terri is always my biggest champion when it comes to making sure venues accommodate me. It's nice to have someone fight for me and I'm always eternally thankful to have her by my side at shows. She's also so fun to hang out with and we always have a great time. So I frantically send off emails to Lauren and Nicole hoping they don't mind if I skip dinner so I can go with Terri. Naturally, they were so cool with it. Which I appreciate so so much. Thanks ladies for being so flexible. And thanks again Terri for asking me to be your +1 again ... and again ... and again You get the idea. So Terri and I get there around 2:15. We have to check-in by 3. Around 3:15 or so Security Mike escorts us to the pavilion to watch the soundcheck. Everyone gets to go down to about the 10th row. I have MD and can't climb up stairs anymore so I had to stay at the top with another woman who happened to be in a wheel chair. Kind of a bummer but after 13 years I'm used to it by now. The soundcheck was so cool. I know it's just another day on the job for them but it was such an awesome experience for me. It was just fun and so cool to see them perform when the venue was empty. The guys were in a really good mood and so happy to be there ... for soundcheck nonetheless. After the soundcheck it was m&g time. Since me and the woman in the wheel chair couldn't go down and back up the stairs the guys came up to the top for us. Words cannot express how much that meant us that they did that. It's hard to live life on the periphery and watch it all happening and not participate. I will never forget that they did that for us. They were already my favorite band but this put them over the top. And again I have to thank Terri for being my champion because she made sure security Mike knew we couldn't get down. I told you she's the BEST! The m&g was amazing. I've had 4 and found myself mostly disappointed at the rushed feel of it and general lack of interest. This experience was the polar opposite of the other 3. All three of the guys were in super friendly, happy moods. We weren't rushed. We got to have our picture taken in pairs instead of a big radio winner group shot. And we got to use our own camera. I was excited and a tad nervous but not as bad as the first time I met them when I forgot who and where I was...LOL. I introduced myself to Robby first and said I was the admin from the WOG. I think he remembered meeting me before when I had my m&g at Freedom Hill. He told me back then that I ran a good, clean site. I introduced myself the same way then. I shook all their hands and introduced myself to Mike and John the same way. They were cool and thanked me. After the picture I told John how much I LOVED the new song they played last at soundcheck ... which happened to be Not Broken. I told him it was amazing and he was so kind and appreciative. It was really the m&g I'd always hoped to have. After that Terri & I went back to the car to sit in the air conditioning. It was HOTTER than hell. It threatened thunderstorms all day but never once rained. But it was so humid it was ridiculous. Finally, we met up with Nicole and Lauren and hung out in the air conditioned car while listening to the new EP. I'm in love with a song on there called Still Your Song. That one will be on constant repeat for awhile. Nicole, Lauren and I were supposed to have row ZZ for the show since I couldn't climb the stairs. Really, these ladies are the best. I wasn't even going go to this show because I didn't want to sit that far back at a Goo show and didn't want them to have to have such sucky seats. But they insisted and convinced me to go. Thanks ladies. Anyway, the tickets were printed wrong and were row Z. No way could I climb down and get back up so Nicole and Lauren sat in row Z and Terri stayed with me in row ZZ ... she had won lawn from the radio so ZZ was an upgrade I tried to convince Terri to take my ticket and go down with Lauren and Nicole but she didn't want to leave me alone. Thanks so much for sitting with me Terri when you could've easily upgraded and sat with Lauren and Nicole! But I am glad Lauren and Nicole got a better view than row ZZ though. At least some of us did. On to the show. It was amazing. The guys were happy and laid back. I loved how often John and Robby were guitar jammin' together. It was great to see them having so much fun. Nicole already mentioned the setlist so I won't get into it. I will say the highlight for me was Can't Let it Go. I've loved that song since the moment I heard it and I'm so happy they're playing it. I also LOVE, LOVED Not Broken. That song live gave me chills. It really is epic and needs to be the next single. As always the people watching at these shows is always colorful and interesting. It amazes me how many women pimp out their kids for a chance to get up front. Kinda sad really. What do 3 years olds need to be at a concert for? Really? Terri, Nicole & Lauren ... it was great seeing you all again and spending time with you. Thanks for a great day/night ladies. I took 3 short video clips from soundcheck and as always a clip of Name because it is and always will be my favorite song. Here's the soundcheck songs. Sorry about the quality but they were taken on my iPhone and I was way in the back. You can't really see much but you can hear how great it sounded. Not Broken http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqJ_NjjaQdA Broadway http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iy6xKw3Q0Zc Better Days http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWkez9t_P6Y Name. It's a bit blurry at first until it focuses. The sound clears up too once I realized my hand was over the speaker...oops! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUsZoUcuEkM Here's our M&G picture. I'm on the left in between Mike and John. Terri's obviously on the right Here's a couple of pictures from soundcheck:

Lauren and I called both of you a lot of names while you were sending me pics and video. We forgave you when you texted us 'Mom's got hooker shoes on' though. I'm so happy we convinced you to go and happy Terri won her way in (AGAIN). It's awesome that you got an extra special experience to make up for the crappy seats. I always have a great time seeing you guys. I wish it was an easier feat to accomplish.

Yes. Terri is amazing. I wish she'd post here more often Come on Terri. Peer pressure. Give us your take on the soundcheck, m&g and show. I may post our m&g picture. I'm waiting to see if the radio posts their picture. The quality is a bit better. Mine ended up a bit over focused. If they don't post one I'll post what's on my phone. I didn't bring my good digital camera since we were sitting so far back. And usually in m&g's they don't allow you to use your own camera. So I only had my iPhone It just figures right?

| Yeah, that's usually how it happens! Will they post it on the website, the pictures? Cause I would like to see them. Maybe you can email the website & ask for a copy.

| They will eventually. I just don't think they're too speedy about it. I hate waiting.
