8th Annual AG auction for CH is now open!

2010 Compass House Auction
2010 is the 8th year for the annual Absolute Goo auction on behalf of Compass House in Buffalo, NY.
This year's auction will take place May 9 - May 16.
Compass House is the only center in Buffalo for runaway and homeless teens. The monies raised go for food, clothing, counseling and training for them.
Absolute Goo has raised more than $50,000 through this annual auction thanks to the generosity of the Goo Goo Dolls, other artists, Goo fans, and businesses who have donated items to previous auctions. We're hoping to have the best fundraising year yet, and we can't do that without your help!

Past auctions have included everything from Goo Goo Dolls' t-shirts and CDs and guitar picks, to autographed items from other artists, and even items donated by band members; like autographed guitars, voice mails recorded by Robby, and a phone call from John, Robby, and Mike!
If you have anything you'd like to donate for our auction, please email us at [email protected] and we will send you the address of our Buffalo shipping headquarters.
Donation notices need to be received by April 26, 2010.
If you do not have items to donate, but want to participate in bidding in the auction, instructions will be provided well before the auction begins. If you see something you like, you bid on it like you would if it were an Ebay auction. When the auction is over, and you win an item, you donate the amount you bid (for example, $20 for a signed CD) directly to Compass House via a PayPal link. Once winners receive a receipt from PayPal, winners forward us the receipt with the address to which the item should be shipped, and our shipping headquarters will mail it out to you.
**NOT ONE PENNY of your donations goes to the Absolute Goo site,
every payment goes directly to Compass House via PayPal.**

Here are some of the items up for auction this year ...
We already have some GREAT donations lined up for this year, including a signed guitar from the band, phone calls from the band, autographed items from various artists, (thanks all!), donations from the personal collection of the Takac family, other things like a guided tour of all the Buffalo area 'goo sites', mounted and authenticated actual bricks from the Continental and on and on and onnnnnn. Goo fans have donated all kinds of great things -- but we still need more! Donations are down so far from last year, and we don't want to let the kids from CH down! Remember, your item donations are all tax-deductible and every penny goes straight to Compass House -- not to the AG site!
