Wrong Song Lyrics

I have many a times mistaken lyrics, particularly Goo. I have been a Goo fan for about 8 years now, and one of the first songs I heard of theirs was name. This is embarassing. It was only until last year that I found out the lyrics were "Now we're grown up orphans that never knew their names." For literally seven years, I thought the lyrics were "Now were grown up, All the friends that never knew their names." I thought that John was saying that all them/their old friends are grown up and how they never really knew each other.. Oops I'm guessing this has happened to other people. Tell! See if anyone can top mine!

I always get a little embarrassed when I try to sing along and sing second verse, while John sings first verse. I always mix them up. And besides that, English is only my second language, so I'm having a lot of trouble hearing everything right. For example Truth is a Whisper: "Nobody hears about this noise" instead of "Nobody hears above this noise".

One of my friends thought the lyrics to Slide were "Why don't you smile?" I gave her so much crap for that...
