Niners 'to play' in Olympic Valley
For a change, the San Francisco 49ers are coming to you.
Current players as well as coach Mike Singletary will take part in the 10th annual Celebrity Winter Fest fundraising event Friday through Sunday at the Resort at Squaw Creek in Olympic Valley.
The exclusive weekend features a chalk talk presented by the 49ers coaching staff and players, a skate-a-long with Olympic speedskating gold medalist Dan Jensen, evening dinners, auctions and live entertainment from LUCE and John Rzeznik of The Goo Goo Dolls.
The chalk talk will feature Singletary, running backs coach Tom Rathman and 49ers' players Alex Smith, Josh Morgan, Takeo Spikes, Dashon Goldson, Tony Wragge, Barry Sims, Adam Snyder and Jason Hill. Past Winter Olympians Tamara McKinney, Kristin Krone, Glenn Jobe, Kristen Clark and Ida Ladstaetter will also be on hand for leisurely skiing with guests throughout the weekend.
The San Francisco 49ers Foundation is the nonprofit community funding arm of the San Francisco 49ers. Now in its 18th year, the San Francisco 49ers Foundation supports development programs for underserved Bay Area youth.
