I was watching a re-run of last night's Daily 10 on E! this afternoon and Ben Lyons was interviewing Jake Gyllenhall. Ben says Do you still have Goo Goo Dolls on your ipod? They show a couple of seconds of Iris while Jake stammers and then Ben presses Jake for an answer. Jake finally says no he doesn't, he swaped out Goos for Cirque De Sole. Ben goes Did you outgrow them? Jake says I guess so. How do you outgrow the Goos? I can't imagine anything like that happening to me!!!! Lauren

HA! Well, for me, it use to be goo everyday. I still love their old stuff, but ya can only listen to somethings for so long until u get bored. Nowadays, I would go months without listening to them, vs before where I thought about them all of the time. I still hum their songs from time to time. The problem I have with them is that they change their style and experiment too much. They also take forever to release something. I don't mind if they change and experiment, but I wish they released more of the same. I would be happy to have 6 songs that sounded like longwaydown, naked, big machine, etc. If the goo's were looked at as a business, it's one of the most riskiest and unstable business there is. Ya just don't know what's gonna happen next.

I will always consider Goo my favorite band of all time, even if I'm not regularly listening to them, which I still do listen to them a lot (mostly gutterflower). I think it's good that they constantly reinvent themselves, because thats what you have to do to survive in the industry. I have a feeling this album is going to be a big hit, I don't know why.
