Similar Coldplay intro to goo song

Hey all,
I was listening to that Coldplay - Life In Technicolor II song.
Was trying to remember why I found that intro so familiar... in the shower it hit me! Black Balloon has a similar-ish intro...
What do you think?

I actually like this song alot, but I don't really hear too much of a similarity between the two songs' introductions.
