Video Premiere: Goo Goo Dolls' 'Real' Add CommentSeptember 23, 2008 08:50:22 GMT Goo Goo Dolls show their big support for their country in a just-premiered music video for their new song, 'Real'. Goo Goo Dolls have released a music video in support of their new song, "Real". Co-written by the band's lead vocalist, John Rzeznik, the song is featured on the AT&T Team USA Soundtrack, a compilation containing exclusive tracks by different artists to benefit and encourage the U.S. Olympic Team. The video for the tune starts with the band entering a stage with huge American national flag as its backdrop. They then perform the song in a high excitement to represent their spirit for the country. Additionally, the Goo Goo Dolls are scheduled to perform at this year's Arizona Fair State. The band will perform in front of Arizona's concert goers on October 16. Other performers to be lined up for the show are Sheryl Crow who will take the event's stage on October 21 and Mary J. Blige, who will make a live appearance the next day, on October 22. The Real video can be viewed here .... http://www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00018536.html

Gregg Wattenberg. It's a step up from Glen Ballard, but I don't really understand why they suddenly need to bring in co-writers after years of doing just fine on their own.

"Soon we realized that after doing this together for so long, we developed some talents that as a group tend to come naturally. We realized that we had a rapport among us and in that rapport was power. "And we realized that our day jobs (as the Goo Goo Dolls) didn't suck as bad as we had thought," he said, laughing (Robby).
