Syracuse, NY 8-22-08 (Salamanca on page 2) Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. So good. Setlist. Long Way Down Here is Gone Big Machine Slide Another Second Time Around (not even kidding) Tucked Away Feel The Silence Black Balloon Name Stay With You Naked Become Real Slave Girl Before It's Too Late Broadway Better Days Let Love In Iris Without You Here American Girl Okay. Here's a review before I start the voyage to the next show, which has some complications... Anyways... I got into Syracuse around 4 and the people I was meeting (S&A) informed me that they had heard soundcheck and that Another Second Time Around was played. So I was pretty beside myself the whole time waiting and I told them I would beat them if they were lying to me. Oh, by the way, the State Fair in August is hot. Really really hot. And huge. And S&A are my heroes for finding the quiet air conditioned building to hang out in. I went in and found my seat. I happened to be front row center (first time not counting GA) and happened to be neighbors with someone I've talked to on various boards, so that was cool. The people on the other side were very nice and this is the first show in a long while that I don't have any complaints about psycho neighbors. And the security guys on the other side of the barricade were incredibly awesome and were even passing back balloons that went over. The atmosphere was just really nice. Show. Oh my god, I don't even know. The stage was too high to see the setlists (ASTA was confirmed. Thanks K!) They started with Long Way Down and it just kept getting better. They went right into Here is Gone and it was like they had read my pleadings for it. I haven't heard it live in over 4 years and I have such fond memories of singing along in the rain. Then they went into Big Machine... another one I haven't heard in a long while. Slide. Whatever. ANOTHER SECOND TIME AROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are no words. So amazing. It has been my favorite Robby song from old bootlegs and I never thought I'd get to see it live. They did the pauses from the old live version and it was perfect. Even better, I was surrounded by people who knew every single word. Nothing even matters after that point. I said I would have been happy if they played Another Second Time Around and just walked off stage and I totally mean it. The rest was great. There wasn't too much talking aside from John drinking for two days in Buffalo and Robby talking about the dogs with monkeys riding them (state fairs...), but they all looked great and happy to be there. And for the 3 people who might care, there was a return of John's long missing earrings. I haven't seen a show on the entire LLI tour that I've been ecstatic about and I thought maybe I had ruined the novelty now that I have attended many shows, but this show blew me away. Pictures and video will hopefully follow in the next post once I get back from Salamanca and recover from these two days.

Photos from Syracuse. My only complaint is the damn microphone being in the way, but I suppose that's not a very good complaint. And to clarify, yes, the John/rest of the band ratio is huge, but he was the one who spent the majority of the time planted in front of me and they were clear pictures, so it happens. Gavin Degraw The videos will be posted on my youtube account. Here's Another Second Time Around, but I have 4-5 more to post. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwNvQ6zh_0A

Would I deny you footage of this momentous occasion? I filmed it and so did my neighbor who takes really fantastic videos. Hopefully between us, we got something we can work with.

Wow, ASTA, I can't believe that.... I loved your review, it is psyching me up for my NYE's show (I know it's too early for that, but I mean it.) Maybe they're playing some old stuff cuz GHV2 was released with old stuff. I don't care why, I'm just glad!!!! I was loosing faith after LLI, BITL and Real, but I guess there is hope after all.

| I noticed the pauses they did from the old live version too! That made it sooo awesome! I love that song and was glad someone was able to get a vid of it. I'm sure you had a great time! Can't wait to see your videos and pics! Have fun at Salamanca

Seneca Allegany Casino, Salamanca, NY 8-23-08 Okay. So, the last casino show I went to, at the Seneca Niagara Casino, was pretty terrible all around so I didn't have very high hopes for this show. But this show was a huge improvement. I didn't like it quite as much as Syracuse the night before, but it was pretty solid. We got the same setlist as the night before, but We'll Be Here (When You're Gone) was added in. And that's just fine with me because I got to hear Here is Gone, Big Machine, and Another Second Time Around (!!!!) again. They're usually not too chatty during Buffalo area shows for whatever reason. But, we got John going on a five minute talking spree - talking to audience members who were the wife and ex-wife of some guy, then talking about his mother's filthy mouth, getting in trouble in school, and John Mayer. At least one person has posted a video on Youtube already, so you should go find it and watch. Again, they all seemed pretty happy and they sounded great. My only gripe about the night was the audience. It wasn't as bad as the last casino show, but it sucked to see people in the rows in front of you not reacting to the music AT ALL. I'm not super crazy when I watch a concert, so I don't mean to judge anyone for how they enjoy a concert, but I don't know how you can stop yourself from singing along or at least nodding your head to the music. Some people weren't even clapping at the ends of songs. There was a fabulous mullet in front of me though. It was a really fun two nights. I have always wanted to do two shows in a row and I think I picked a good time to do it. I also met a ton of people from the online Goo community, which I don't really do too much, and there are some very nice people with very cool stories to share. Setlist Long Way Down Here is Gone Big Machine Slide Another Second Time Around Tucked Away Feel the Silence Black Balloon We’ll Be Here Name Stay With You Naked with the fruity intro (I’ve decided I’m going to push this until other people start referring to it as the fruity intro) Become Real Slave Girl Before It's Too Late Broadway Better Days Let Love In Iris ______ Without You Here American Girl The full concert audio is now up for downloading. It's a big zipped file. A warning that this is not professional or cleaned up at all, so if you can only tolerate nice crisp loud recordings, you should skip this. http://www.sendspace.com/file/9ackne A sample of the recording in case you're debating if you should commit to downloading the whole thing: Real http://www.mediafire.com/?3jpwem9xyce I record it for me and decide to share it with whoever wants it, so please spare me any complaints about the quality, volume, cuts, etc.
