I don't think we'll ever see those songs in any other form than the way we have them. If the band didn't utilize the space on GHV2 properly and include them there, there's no way we're getting them anywhere else.
That said, if they were to appear on album 9 for some bizarre reason, I probably wouldn't be disappointed. I've said it before, but hearing the rough "In Your Blood" was more satisfying to me than all of LLI, so to get a completed version would probably make me pretty happy, even if it was on an album it doesn't really belong on.
I had extremely high expectations for LLI because I had loved nearly everything they had put out and understood all of the choices they made and they had never 'let me down'. But with the extreme disappointment of LLI and a lot of the things that went along with it, I have very low expectations for the next album and the future of the band. I don't believe a thing they say about it and I'm going to listen to it, expecting the worst. Having two unreleased songs from the SSCW demos wouldn't make much sense, but would be better than what I expect...

I don't think I would want to hear new studio recordings of those songs. They are in a different headspace now than they were when they originally wrote and recorded those songs. They have a different style now and I think Tell Me and In Your Blood would sound awkward if the Goos did studio recordings of them now. Also I like those songs just how they are now as demos that might not be comlpetely completed. I think it captures the time and their thought process at the time and we wouldn't hear that if they recorded those songs now. It would be a bunch of grown men singing songs they wrote when they were a lot younger and it would be weird. So yes, I think I would be disappointed if they were on the new album, especially if there were only nine other new songs on it.
I hope there doesn't end up being only ten songs on the new album, because it seems like every album now, there is one less song and I will be disappointed if they go in that direction. I will be disappointed if they re-release old songs on the new album (especially if they could've put them on GHV2). I will be disappointed if Robby has no songs, or only one song. But I will not be disappointed if the new album has a style that I just don't like (unless it's a completely different genre of music like rap) because it's their album and it would be unfair for me to be disappointed about something they wanted to do that I just happen to not like.

Well. I like the songs as they are, I think. I like how raw they are. And I think I get some weird enjoyment from going "Haha! Johnny sounds twelve."
Tell Me I think might be cool (or maybe it's just because I'm slightly desperate for another duet), but Dancing would be weird for them to record now, considering it's got the same music as a song that's been out (if not popular) for 15 years.
Of course, if they did do them, I'd eat them up like candy, but I agree, it's very unlikely, and I'm quite content with what I've got now.

I don't think it's a huge deal if there are multiple versions with bonus songs as long as they are all presented at once and the fans get to make an informed decision about which one(s) they buy. What I really hate is the new trend of releasing an album and then releasing a 'deluxe' version months later (ala LLI L&I), because the 'hardcore' (I hate that word...) fans are pretty much punished for buying the album immediately while the casual fans get rewarded for not getting off their ass and buying it early on.
In the case of the Goos, they're so low output that I don't think they will ever put out an album with different bonus tracks that haven't been previously available somewhere else.

I think the idea is sort of interesting, though I do get annoyed sometimes. With bands that I'm not super!huge fans of, it's kinda cool to get a track I wasn't expecting.
But I agree, with someone like Goo, it is a pain in the ass to hear "Have you heard this song?" "No." "It was a b-side in the UK!" "WTF, why can't I have it, too?"
'Course, it is relatively easy to go to someone who has it and say, "I already bought the album; Can you send me the song so I don't have to buy it again?"

I can absolutely understand being annoyed and frustrated if you buy a CD and then later on get to know that there are "better" versions of it, but there's a very simple solution to that: downloading (either illegally, buying it from the likes of iTunes or getting a friend/someone who has the song to send it to you).
Also, I'd love to hear a new version of Tell Me. As for In Your Blood, I'm not too sure. I'm not a huge fan of that version.

I love Disconnected and I like its fit on ABNG, so I wouldn't change it. I never skip it, even if I have the iPod on shuffle and I'm not in a mood for the Goos. I like NCCY a lot, but I feel like if I had the repeated listens like I do with Disconnected, I probably wouldn't like it as much.
I think I would keep all of the albums' track lists the same, except LLI. I would probably have tolerated LLI songs better if they were all b-sides or one or two appeared on an album.

I like Disconnected well enough, but I'm always slightly put off by it. Sometimes I think it's because they didn't write it, and then I remember how AWESOME Slave Girl is, and I say "Well, screw that theory", so I don't know what it is.
I do like NCCY better, but I'm not sure about it fitting in with the rest of the album...I suppose it would fit with Ain't That Unusual and most of Robby's songs. Hmm. Intriguing question.
I'll have to think on this.

Between All Eyes On Me and Full Forever. I guess there's something about AEOM and Lazy Eye (except the name) that just .. they have this same kind of fancy-yet-not-overdone produced sound to them. I also think that FF and LE have the kind of serious, dark tone that makes them compatible.
