Sundance cafe lines up acts By Gregg Goldstein Jan 7, 2008 NEW YORK -- Gavin DeGraw, Goo Goo Dolls frontman John Rzeznik and Train singer Pat Monahan are set to perform for the 10th anniversary of the ASCAP-produced Music Cafe at this month's Sundance Film Festival. The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers also has booked songwriters Mike Viola and Dan Bern to perform their country and rock parodies from "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story." ASCAP already has scheduled breakout performer Ingrid Michaelson, rock veterans Patti Smith and Tim Finn and more than two dozen additional acts for its anniversary celebration. Along with Smith, artists DAM, Abeer, PR and Mahmoud Shalabi will appear in conjunction with their Sundance feature "Slingshot Hip-Hop." Others in the Cafe lineup include Peter & Gordon, Missy Higgins, Butch Walker and Motion City Soundtrack. Other ASCAP artists featured in two rockumentaries at the fest are David Crosby, Graham Nash, Stephen Stills and Neil Young ("CSNY Deja Vu") and U2 ("U2 3D"). The Music Cafe will be held every afternoon from Jan. 18-26 at the Star Bar in Park City. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/news/e3i75b3ecbc7b3e 7be995509ef995616364

So this appears to be different from the other Sundance performance that the Goos are already playing... I give up. I'm just going to quote myself from a month ago. on Dec 4th, 2007, 8:52pm, nmf009 wrote:Recently, I feel like the Goos accept anything and everything that comes their way and that's a huge reason why they get so little respect. |

| The Fuse one goes until 1/27. Either way, though, I think you have to have some sort of crazy expensive pass to get in.

I wish they'd just go into the studio. I was saying "OMFG, go home and take a NAP!" when there were some rumoured dates after Cleveland, but I gave up a short while after that because, quite honestly, they didn't listen. They never listen. Anyway, they just better be writing the hell out of that new record I've been promised >.<
