Just the auditions. They were held at Lake Las Vegas. The show will be taped on a stage in LA.
According to some bands that auditioned, the bands were allowed to bring their own guitars, bass, keyboards, etc, but were supplied with the amps and drums and didn't get much input into their sound levels.
