From the IM........ 10.10.07: Greatest Hits THE GOO GOO DOLLS GREATEST HITS, VOL. 1 - THE SINGLES to be released November 13, 2007. The Goo Goo Dolls Greatest Hits, Vol. 1 - The Singles will include the band's three Number One smashes - "Name," "Iris," and "Slide," - as well as the Top 10s "Black Balloon," "Dizzy," "Broadway," "Here is Gone," "Big Machine," "Sympathy," "Better Days," "Stay With You," and "Let Love In," the title track from the Goos most recent album, which has been certified gold. Each single has scored across the panel at multiple radio formats. Also featured on the album is a remix of "Feel the Silence" by acclaimed mixer Michael Brauer (The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney). Also expected in early 2008 will be Greatest Hits Vol. 2, which will include new recordings, remixes, a plethora of rarities to include B-sides, some unexpected cover versions of some of the band's favorite songs and more. A DVD/MVI disc of live footage and extras will also be included in the deluxe package with a complete concert from their show at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado in June of 2007. The band - Rzeznik, bassist Robby Takac, and drummer Mike Malinin - have been on the road since Spring of 2006, supporting Let Love In and show no signs of slowing down as they've just completed a string of sold-out shows in the UK.

GHV2 better live up to this hype, because I am so excited. And we need a release date NOW.

I can't wait for volume 2 either. I'm still on the fence about volume 1. I haven't decided if I'm getting it yet. Does that make me a bad fan? I feel like I already have these songs on at least 2 other CDs. I'm sure I'll end up getting it though.

I'll get GHV1 eventually, to keep the set complete and all, but I'm not going to rush out for it. Perhaps it'll go on the Christmas list.

So there's no chance of In Your Blood being on Volume 2 eh?

| I don't wanna sound negative about this, but watching some youtube videos it doesn't look like it was their BEST ever performance...but perhaps the footage doesn't do them justice...

You can be negative. We support negativity here. I don't think the concert will be life altering or anything. It'll be nice to have another professionally shot concert, but I'm waaaay more excited for the potential new (old?) stuff than the concert.

I am excited for the greatest hits album as well. Super excited, in fact, it's written in my calendar! AND...if In Your Blood happens to be on Volume 2. I will need a change of pants. Thanks to all of you, I've fallen madly in love with that song.

| Indeed, we are at times the "black hole of negativity".
