The Goo Goo Dolls to Release First-Ever Greatest Hits CD "The Goo Goo Dolls Greatest Hits, Vol. 1 - The Singles" Due November 13th, 2007, on Warner Bros. Records BURBANK, CA--(Marketwire - August 23, 2007) - The Goo Goo Dolls, one of the great American rock & roll bands of our generation, have become one of the most globally respected and loved songwriting forces in popular music history. In recent months, the Buffalo natives set the all-time record for the artist with the most Top 10 hits in Hot AC Radio ever with twelve. This past week, The Goo Goo Dolls have achieved even greater heights expanding their own record which now stands at 14 successive Top 10s adding singer/guitarist Johnny Rzeznik's solo track, "I'm Still Here (Jim's Theme)" from the "Treasure Planet" soundtrack and their current Goo Goo Dolls hit, "Before It's Too Late (Sam and Mikaela's Theme)" from the "Transformers" soundtrack. At last, The Goo Goo Dolls have gathered up their most-beloved songs and will release Volume One of a Greatest Hits package, the first-ever of their 21-year career, on November 13th, on Warner Bros. Records in a single-disc package. "The Goo Goo Dolls Greatest Hits, Vol. 1 - The Singles" will include the band's three Number One smashes -- "Name," "Iris," and "Slide," -- as well as the Top 10s "Black Balloon," "Dizzy," "Broadway," "Here is Gone," "Big Machine," "Sympathy," "Better Days," "Stay With You," and "Let Love In," the title track from the Goos most recent album, which has been certified gold. Each single has scored across the panel at multiple radio formats. Also featured on the album is a remix of "Feel the Silence" by acclaimed mixer Michael Brauer (The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney). Also expected in early 2008 will be "Greatest Hits Vol. 2," which will include new recordings, remixes, a plethora of rarities to include B-sides, some unexpected cover versions of some of the band's favorite songs and more. A DVD/MVI disc of live footage and extras will also be included in the deluxe package with a complete concert from their show at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado in June of 2007. The band -- Rzeznik, bassist Robby Takac, and drummer Mike Malinin -- have been on the road since Spring of 2006, supporting "Let Love In" and show no signs of slowing down as they've just completed a string of sold-out shows in the UK. Their next American tour will start up again on August 23rd in Chicago and wind-up at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles on September 6th. The track-listing for "The Goo Goo Dolls Greatest Hits, Vol. 1 - The Singles" is as follows: "Name" "Iris" "Slide" "Broadway" "Black Balloon" "Dizzy" "Here is Gone" "Big Machine" "Sympathy" "Better Days" "Stay With You" "Let Love In" "Before It's Too Late" "Feel the Silence" http://www.marketwire.com/mw/release.do?id=763694&k=Goo%20Goo%20Doll s

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm definitely buying volume 2!!!!!!! That is SO COOL! I really can't wait. I don't know about Volume 1 yet, though. The only song I need from that is the Feel The Silence remix. I might just or I buy that song on iTunes might buy the whole thing to complete my collection, depending on my mood when it comes out and how much extra money I have.

Unless all the songs are remastered on disc one, I will not be buying it...just getting the remix. I will for sure be buying the deluxe version of disc two on February 11th! I'm hoping for NEW songs and stuff.

| Ha ha. I love you guys. I'm not sold on disc 1 at all. I'll probably own it because it's part of the set, but I'm not gonna count the days or anything. Part 2 has SO MUCH potential, but I'm not getting my hopes up too high. Yay for dvd material, I don't think they can mess that up. New songs scare me these days. Remixes can be pretty subtle. 'Rarities' to the casual fan and 'rarities' to me are SO different, I want the stuff I don't even know exists. "Covers of some of the band's favorite songs" might just be old b-sides like Nothing Can Change You, Don't Change, and Hit or Miss (actually, I'd love a cleaned up version of Hit or Miss, so that's okay. ). You know, Give a Little Bit fits that criteria too...
