Fair St. Louis question

Hi!
Not sure if there's anyone who can answer this here, but there's a good chance I'm going to be seeing the 7/3 St. Louis show.
Now, I know Live on the Levee/Fair St. Louis is free, but how does seating work? Chairs? Lawn? Benches? And, if anyone has ever been there, how early do you have to show up to get within a mile of the stage? I'm used to Summer Fest in Milwaukee where, if you're not there 4 hours in advance to claim your bench and sit through all the cover bands, you better have a telescope if you want to see the main attraction.
So, if anyone knows anything about the logistics of this event, I'd appreciate any details you may have!
