That kind of spontaneity was nonexistent in co-headliners the Goo Goo Dolls’ act earlier in the evening. Although the band seldom made mistakes and maintained an album-quality sound, songs from the group’s new album, “Let Love In,” were churned out with the same mechanical efficiency as hits “Iris” and “Slide.” Even the smiles on singer Johnny Rzeznik’s face seemed robotic.
