so once again our goo goo dolls kicked ass! they bring a smile to my face all the time. front row was amazing! john looked so great and robby was just cute as ever! it was nice being so close that i could watch mike too. john was his normal hysterical self. right before name he said "this is the first song that got played on the radio for us. yah know i go shopping now at the grocery store and i'm like 'wow i can fuckin buy whatever i want too' and then i hear this song and i'm like fuck i'm so uncool. people ask me if i listen to my own music. could you imagine me, driving listening to my own music. imagine me at a redlight with the window down listening to myself. imagine someone pulling up next to me and seeing me listening to my own music, i know i would be like "what a fuckin loser!" hahahaha oh God it was so funny, i swear he's the best story teller ever. i really kinda like how john carried around the mic more and sorta was more all over the stage than normal. that was an interesting and fun change. when he introduced the band he did a guitar solo that was funny as anything. i have to admit i was a little heartbroken they didn't play without you hear but i would have majorly cried so i guess it's a good thing. oh but during become, oh my that song really really hit something in me, it's probably my new favorite song now. hearing give a little bit live finally too was just surreal. it sounded so great! this was my 5th time seeing the goo's and it couldn't have been any better.
the counting crows .... well yah know in the movie she's all that, how there's that bad bad poetry club? well that's what the counting crows are like live. it was just like an overdone bad poetry reading/singing session. i only made it through three of their songs and then i had to leave. haha i just didn't have it in me to stay and watch. sorry to any fans of theirs but i just didn't care for them at all.
merch wise i got the blue goo tour shirt, the red one with the album tracks on it, the new necklace, wrist band and stickers. i also got one of only a small small handful of the autograph cds from tonight. the lady said they only signed a few and had just had them handed to the merch booths like 15mins before the door opened. i got the last one in fact.
i took many photos ... when i get a chance i'll post em!

Thanks for such a positive review. They bring a smile to my face all the time too. I agree....I think John is a great storyteller. We can only hope he does more of it in the coming shows. I know he doesn't think we care what he has to say but we really do.
How'd you get so lucky to score front row? Lucky gal....I'm so jealous. I'm still waiting for my lucky day.

I had to work the day they went on sale ... I'm mega anti ticketmaster so I went thru Hershey's box office and within 1mins my Mom called me at work and all she said was "how's front row?" and I about died!

That's fantastic! What luck. Yay for you. I'd love to get that lucky at least once with a Goo show. Being a shorty it would be so nice not to have anyone obstructing my view.
