Looks like the Canadians are definitely going to have a tour. http://www.dailynews.com/celebrities/ci_4008853 Goo Goo Dolls planning a long concert tour By Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith Riding the crest of their "Let Love In" album's success, the Goo Goo Dolls expect the concert tour on which they've just embarked to last — and last. They'll be performing U.S. dates into the fall, "get into Canada before Christmas, and we're definitely going to go on to Europe after Christmas," reports group heartthrob John Rzeznik. He's not intimidated by the prospect of all that road time. "I love it, because I know what I'm doing every day out there. There's a real sort of discipline. Writing is a way more ephemeral process. That's what intimidates me sometimes." The handsome singer-songwriter-guitarist credits returning to his hometown of Buffalo, N.Y., for the spark of inspiration that lit up "Let Love In," which boasts cuts including "Better Days" (a song CNN adopted for its post-Katrina coverage), and "Stay With You." "I'd been living in a huge city, L.A., for 10 years, and going back definitely gave me a different perspective. There's such a different way of life there. I had to deal with a lot of my own demons and unfinished business, some good, some bad," he says. "Going back to the environment you grew up in has a pretty serious psychic effect. You see the street where you finally got a gig to play a party in a backyard, a park you used to go to with your girlfriend. "But I don't know if I could live in Buffalo full time again. I do like it there, and I'm thinking about that question a lot." Meanwhile, Rzeznik and fellow Goos Robby Takac and Mike Malinin just shot a video for the album's title track — one that will feature computer-generated desert and water landscapes. It'll take several weeks to complete, says Rzeznik.
