Australian newspaper review of let love in

Ok every thursday in australias biggest newspaper there is an entertainment section and it has a double page of new cds and reviews. Now the guy that writes these reviews is a real tosser and just goes with the trend in supporting commercial hip hop, rnb that sorta crap. He pays out on bands like ggds and nickelback (especially cruel to these guys) any chance he gets. I was expecting a real grilling so i suppose 3/5 isnt too bad. Ok heres the review...... In Music 'formulatic' is supposed to be a bad thing. In goo goo dolls world its just the way things work. After penning Name and Iris and soft rocking the world, frontman Johnny Rzeznik knew his equation equalled dollars and a direct line to a sentimental rock heart or two. And on Let Love In, the sums are still adding up. With modern rock supremo Glen Ballard at the desk and taking the odd co-songwriting credit the album is no way about reinventing the goo goo wheel. So yes, its all very familiar, but so is that feeling you get when Without You Here lifts into a big, romantic chrorus. Sigh The verdict: *** In a word: Swoon Other releases : A boy named goo (1995), Gutterflower (2002)

Thanks for that review. It wasn't five stars but it was better than alot of the crap I've read. No we don't use words like chuffed or tosser. But that's why I love reading all your posts. Your words are so much more interesting than ours. And then if we could actually hear you say those words we'd probably all swoon....nothing like a brit or aussie accent!

Oh yes ... a brit/aussie accent is so much better than ours. I'm a huge Keith Urban fan and it's all I can do not to pass out when he talks. Can you imagine what would happen if I ever actually met him?
