~THE AVALON...the review....contin'd

okay I promised ya'll a full review so go have your smoke or get your coffee.... cuz this is gonna be a long one.....
I like reading descriptive reviews, so I'm gonna give one... Not like I get to tell that many so speed read if you find it dull.....
So... for those of you who didn't know already I had put in for the first lottery of Avalon giveaway and to my dismay I wasn't picked and I was here trying like hell to get someone to feel bad for me.... but no one gave in so I was bummin.... then the second giveaway happened and I was like hmmm maybe I'll win this time so I had my mom dad sis bro ... best friend hubby everyone was joining to try to win me a ticket.... then come Friday my car spun a bearing ... and I was like you watch NOW i'll win... cuz I have NOWAY to get there NOW! So come sunday morn I'm hoppin on Inner Machine to read the winners list and I got like 3/4's thru it and was actually relieved to see that so far I hadn't won.... then the very last winner was my Dad, Robert Langevin.... I immediatly started balling my eyes out.... So my hubby says call his mom and just tell her what happened and see what she has to say... So I called and she says to take her car as long as I'm back before Wednesday, cuz she needs it for work....( I live in Maine) I was so ELATED now I was crying tears of JOY!!! So as quick as I can, I gather the kids and luggage and I'm off to CT to stay at MY moms.... Now the next tricky part... My DAD has to retrieve the tix at the Avalon in order for me to get in... WTF do I do now.... he really don't wanna go, but will if he has to... So I call the Avalon first thing Mon. morning and speak to Special Event Management and they say to make a copy of the email and his Licence and we'll be all set.... So now I can take my sister instead. So Monday afternoon we're trying like hell to get the train and end up missing the one I really wanted, to ensure good line placement, but no worries there's another 15 mins later. We get to the train she parks in a puddle that had like, no lie, 15 inches of water in it and have NO TIME to move... cuz the train is already there and we still have to run to the platform.... we get up there and the doors of the train are already closed.... the conducter makes eye contact rolles his eyes and opens the door..... so we're now on the train and can finally relax...... talk about luck SO FAR right?
OK so now we arrive in NYC's Grand Central Station and have to get the whole connecting subway thing right, cuz theres like 3 diff't subs to transfer... so my anxiety is really takin a toll on me at this point! There's no way at 4:30 I'm gonna get good placement for a gen adm opening doors at 7:30.... I'm screwed! Well we finally make it to the address 
 and yeah there's a line, but NOTHING like I expect! Later we enter about 20 ft before the blue canopy we manage to get right on the corner...maybe 50-75 ahead of me no so bad So we stand there for a few mins. take in what alls shakin.... and now my anxiety kicks in again cuz I start thinkin what if.... The person I spoke to this morning isn't there and they tell me ,my dad has to be there, and they DON"T know WHY she would've said that so... now I'm getting worried again, so I'm lookin around and down the street by the equipment truck theres a door open and some security is standing around and I get thinkin... thats prob where the bands gonna enter and exit.... I gotta good excuse so I tell sis I'll be right back that I have a hunch something is up.... NO and I mean (i counldn't believe it but) no one else was around that area! So I walk up to security and ask about retrieving my tix... they answer my q's and next thing I know they are bringin out the steel crowd control fence....and say ok we really need to clear this area now... I'm thinkin, you can clear the area ALL you want but I AIN'T movin.... well it all happened too fast for them, I made my way down the steps and to the curb to the already placed fencing and here comes the van and out hops Johnny.... that was it my stomach fell to the curb my knees locked and some girl who I'll leave nameless... says to John that she has an envelope for him and will he sign the pic of him and her at kids at a previous show... he says sure and signs it.... I start thinkin ok get the lead outta your ass... you snooze you lose.... so I look at him and say can I just have a hug? He smiles that endearing almost embarrassed smile he has and says sure and comes up and puts his face right against my cheek( which was still a little scruffy at the time) ( I didn't care though) and he hugs me tightly (not robby tight though, LOL... just steady and firm)... I definitly KNEW he was there... he SMELLED so FRIGGIN good.....
all the while I'm thinkin my camera is in my hand with no batteries yet where the hell is my sister... she has the other camera... and shes back in the line..... but thats ok... I was having MY MOMENT and there was only now like 3 other girls there, yet all these people were standing in the line just 1/2 block, if that away... what the hell is the matter with these people... are they DUMB!!!! anyway... I'm still holding Johnny..... Didn't wanna let go and he wasn't caring or letting go so.....( I felt like it was one of those chewing gum commercials or something...time was standing still for me ....) he just continued to hug while the other girl was chattin with him..... Finally security Mike says c'mon John you gotta get inside, so he says okay hon I gotta go, So I said thank you SO much... he waved the half wave turn around thing he does and went in..... Me and the other girl who remains nameless and by whom I didn't even know at the time immediatly start shaking like crazy and freaking out... we were sooo calm just seconds ago....now were like screaming school girls..... we totally connected from that moment on and we hung out all night.... In the meantime I go screaming back down to my sister sniffing my sweatjacket like it was some addictive drug or something, He smelled so good..... I was so freaking excited I got not just a hug but a GOOd ONE! She couldn't get a pic cuz of the other 2-3 girls in the way, but she got my reaction coming back to the line.....
LOL I look freaky when I'm excited, so I'm not posting the other one....In looking at this notice the equipment truck in the background.... the rear exit was right there on the left where the end of the truck is... you see this is just seconds after... there was virtually no one there..... the line hadn't even gotten that long or even rounded the corner yet..... also take note of the ice cream man truck on the right..... he was there running his damn truck the full 2 1/2 hours that I stood on that corner we were all light headed by the time we went in... Just like 5-10 mins after my run in with John... the line looked alot longer... Later before we go in it actually extended about 3truck lengths down..... okay so we enter the avalon at like 7:30.... everyone filters in and I get my tix and its all good I got right up in the front no problem I got my sister and the other girls I met when i saw John, right there with me, and were drinking and having a good time waiting for the show to begin.....and I'm gonna stop there and continue in the morning..... I know i know... but it'll give ya good reading..... till then here's another Johnny after the show... all bundled up and ready to go in the van.....

okay... finally made it back...I'm really sorry this review is so long, but you'll understand later that if were you you'd have the need to spew every detail too.....I got no one to share this with, as hubby don't wanna hear it and my 4 yr old thinks I'm nutz and 10 yr old hates 'em cuz I talk bout 'em all the time! so... pls bear with me
I'm sooo SORRY it took so long. I'm trying to get all my stuff onto disk, my comp keeps crashing! Then yesterday my IP was having major probs with their server so I couldn't access the web..... Anyway here's the rest......
okay so were inside... forgot to mention they were making you remove your batteries from cameras and checking them in to security and you could retrieve them after the show... but not me I hid mine in my pants and took a chance....not that it made a dif cuz my show photos came out like shit and I mean... you can hardly make out what they are. Anywho I manage to hold a death grip onto my sis and we schmooze our way right to the front stage left right beside the sound board. Theres fencing all in front of the stage exept in front of me, but there is a security guy standing right there. So I spend the next hour working my angles with him getting all buddy buddy, which worked out well. He was actually event security not the bands security. He said he didn't like Goo! I said don't you tell me you don't like Goo until after the show, if you feel the same way... we're gonna have to take this outside...he just laughed so that was how it went with him the rest of the night....he was good shit. Anyway were standing there trying to hold our ground which isn't easy for all 5'2 of me... luckily I got my younger BIG sis behind me X navy (good to have) So were strugglin to hold our own and in walks this bushy blonde and her friend sayin excuse me coming thru.... and everyone is like oblivious to it and I'm sayin wtf where the hell did she come from. Well everyones getting pissed and not saying anything! What the hell is wrong with these people!!! Now shes up on me and pushin her 5'5 minus 3" of poofy hair in front of me... well that was it! I had just enough buzz going to not give a shit! NO ONE was getting between me and that stage other than security....with security standing right there she says excuse me to me and I went... nughtugh...noway girl... you ain't comin in front of me so you can just turn your ass around and go right back where you came from.... she says (your gonna love this one) we were actually here before you and we asked this security guy to hold our spot, my friend is one of the band members girlfriend and we went backstage and didn't want to lose our spot. I laughed and I laughed LOUD! I said you gotta be shittin me right?... Your fulla shit... 1st off if she's a girlfriend then why the hell are you here and not up in VIP ? 2nd if shes a girl of the band then you should BOTH know that if you wanted to stand here you shouldn't have left KNOWING how crazy it would get.... SORRY, but I didn't drive here all the way from Maine catchin trains hoppin subways and fighting for the front to have YOU think you can just waltz your way thru the crowd to stand in front of ME go stand in front of someone else.... Good bye... she starts to say something else and I look at her again and say G O O D B Y E!!! She says to the security guy, aren't you gonna help me out here.... he laughed and said NOPE! and shook his hands like he wasn't getting involved.... then bands security asks him if this is getting outta hand he goes no... she's got it under control... Next thing I know Everyones clapping and telling her to get lost... she turns tail and leaves. I was thinking phew close one... Goo hasn't even come out yet and I'm gonna get kicked out for a fight.

Alrighty so the band comes out, they look absolutely AMAZING! Robby's in socks...per usual, full of ambition and smiles and tons of energy.... Mike I couldn't see from behind the symbols from where I was standing, but he sounds good....John looks phenom as usual and is hiding behind his semi shy smiles in reaction to the crowds energy. (he so cute when he acts that way! The new guys did a great job...looked a little on edge, but did great. I'm trying to remember the guitarist name... but I gave him the thumbs up a couple times.... I think he liked the attention, as they rarely get it... he smiled and I think appreciated the positive feedback. I can't remember the setlist at the moment, but I did post it in my thread of Johnny and I at Avalon.
So they glide right into the second song and Johnny's makin his way over and reaches down to my area and of coarse I reach up and everyones grabbin at him I had him right by the whole hand.... sweaty palms gotta love it! I'm totally freakin.... cuz now I've of coarse regressed to a 15 yr old screaming girl... jumpin and shaking complete strangers in the climax of the excitement.... uncontainable... Of coarse now I look in hind site and say your such an ass....but I think we change personality when we get into the energy of the show and hes right there lookin so fine..... You just lose all sense of whats what and you don't care either.... Next John's you know makin his way back and forth jammin out while Robby's doin his song and ... I'm almost embarrased to write this.....I was really buzzin now and Johnny comes back over in front of me and you know how he always wears cammys... well the bottom string was pulled out further than it should have been.... he like almost tripped 3 times that I saw.... so I guess the Mom in me decided to come out...LOL... he comes in front of me and I'm guesturing to his pant leg so he won't trip.... so he looks down and kind throws his leg out to the side as to see over the guitar in his way. Then I guesture him to come here and I'll tie it....LMAO.....So he did and he threw his leg out for me to tie it and then this security guy with Braids that stands like 6'2 comes over and won't let me tie it.... so I'm screaming at the security guy as to be heard over the music and he just wouldn't budge so now Johns laghing cuz I'm like rippin at security... I guess he got tickled by that.... LMAO in the hind thoughts of this.

Reaches down again, I of coarse grab his hand again and .... whats this he ain't lettin go ....what? he's pulling OMFG....I start to try to make my way thru (remember I have no fence in front of me just security) I'm freakin, butterflies are whirlwindin in my stomach...but not for long here comes the asshole with the braids. The other guy was gonna let me go. The jerk literally grabs John by the wrist and me by the wrist and with 2 hands pulls us apart... OMG I wanna KILL this guy! I'm yelling at him that Johns pulling me John makes a small gesture, but the idiot won't even look at John too see .... so I get screwed! This all was happening so fast....my head is spinning like a top.... I'm fuming with anger, but I let it go....the fact that the attempt was there was enough for me. John does another song, they exit stage left Encore GALB and thats it...So the show ends and I grab my sis and nameless and say LETS GO.... They're looking at me
Like I'm nutz to wanna leave so soon...but I wanna get outside incase they leave immediatly. So security's out there the crowds starting to filter in and we wait and wait... they of coarse say they left.... So I ask my buddy the good security guy under my breath... Did they really leave and he mumbles no... So we wait it out. Robby apparently made a secret escape cuz I never saw him leave. So were waiting and security Mike is standing by the door, giving us Hockey highlights and scores from his cell phone, LOL then crowd control fefncing is forming a path to the van... Here comes John with a hoodie on looking completely exhausted, he signs some flats, takes some pics....I'm at the end of the fencing right by the van, So I slip thru the crack and tap John on the shoulder..... he turns around and says hey I remember you, i laugh and ask him if he'll take a quick pic, so he wraps his arm around my shoulder and kinda squats a little leans his head against mine makes a hmmmmm sound and my sis snaps the shot. He signs my flat..... I thank him he smiles and walks around to get in the van..... Then mike comes out and he signs my flat, takes a pic with me and off they go....
The night got worse from there... My sis and I missed the train back to Ct and wound up stranded oputside of Grand Central Station. Wound up waiting 4 hours in a cafe, witha guy talking to 3 friends who weren't really there... YIKES! Then as we head back to Grand Central Station a Vaga chases us for a cigarette, and when we don't stop running he barks at us like a bulldog... Didn't get home til 8am and still had to drive all the way back to Maine to get car back to Mom in law before 5pm....

I hope you aren't too lamed out by my story, but considering it was only my second show! I (for one) felt it to be a pretty intense experience.
So with that I guess it's only appropriate to say

That is the best night ever! I have to say I've met them all twice in official meet and greets and it was NEVER that cool....too rushed and impersonal. I'm still waiting for an experience like that. The stars were definitely lined up for you that night. I'm so happy you got to meet them finally.
