We laughed hysterically when we read about this but having now listened to it, don't find it as funny - we really don't like it at all! That said, we never did like Ronan so guess it follows we wouldn't like his cover of Iris!

Where can you hear this? lol. Is there a site of anything? I tried looking on Limewire and Ronan Keatings site and nowt! And anything that did relate do it was all in foreign. I did however during my search come across this accapella group called upenn off the beat, and they've done a cover of iris! Turns out they do various covers. It's strange listening to it, but pretty impressive seeing as it's all just purely vocals and no instruments whatsoever. Check it out....i don't know how to upload music on here?? If anyone can tell me how, i'll see if i can do it! Reminds me of another group that do stuff like this called scala on the rocks! If you like U2, check out their version of with or without you. Also another upenn of the beat tune, Counting Crows Colorblind! Sounds really nice!

Thanx a ton! lol It is weird to hear it sung by Ronan Keating. When i was looking on his site, it said about him doing a track called iris and that it will be released to international fans, while another single will be released in the UK. But no mention of the fact that it was originally done and written by the goo's, which it should have done really! If it does get released in the UK, it would be some good publicity for the guys. Will help them get more recognition here i think.

Oh dear....the idea of Ronan Keating singing Iris made me feel slightly ill; and hearing it hasn't made it much better. Goo's are the only people allowed to sing that song, ever! xclairex

I'm listening to it right now. It's an interesting experience. I agree that no one should touch this song ... ever. But it's really not too bad.... I was truly expecting it to be so much worse. It's very folk sounding.
