I became a fan when I heard Naked for the first time and I was like "These guys are Gods". I would never think they would give up there punk rock sound, but then came DUTG. I have to say I'm glade that they are doing well with this new music style, but they could at least give us one punk rock song with a solo. Johnny is a very good guitarist and he souldn't let that talent go to waste. Don't get me wrong, I love all of their songs. They write really good ballads, but thats not the music I came to love and enjoy from the Goos. When I was at the Atlanta show, My mom won this meet and great thing, so we got to take a picture with the Goos and when I was walking away I yelled out "Keep punk music alive". Its was a good show, but they didn't even do We are the Normal, thank god they did Naked. By the end of the show I was just happy to be there and got to meet them. I think a lot of us wish for another SSCW or ABNG, but i'm sure its never going to happen. Stuff like Iris and Here is Gone is what the public wants to hear from the Goo Goo Dolls. I'll keep buying their albums, i just wish they would write something for their punk rock fans. Sorry for being so deep, thats just how I feel about the whole thing. If you are a true Goo fan, then you would be happy that they are successful now, I know I am. Their new album rocks too.
