Have you let love in??

Hi just listened to the album for the first, second and third time......

were to startHuh i'm just disappointed. okay i'll admit i live in hope of a 'superstar carwash' type album which is unfair. But johnny for god sake have you forgotten how to play guitar!! can anybody say SOLO!!! or maybe POWER CHORD!!!

i liked Gutterflower it had some really good tunes but it was one of the most overly produced albums i've ever listened to....

Hope........

Stay with you- Goo By the numbers, a good start. Hope Building.

Let Love in- I like it, its catchy but is it just me or does the chorus not 'fit' the verse. i think the vocals are a bit strange in the chorus but its really good and i know why its the album title, its got a bit of spark. Hope is feeling good

Feel The Silence- this is new goo.  which is the best of this type of song on the album- the chorus hook is good i really like it. the dual vocals i think work really well (good luck live though). hope is rising

Better days good song,  either on the album OR at christmas NOT BOTH!! and it should not be here it should be at the end of the album i thought they new that by now. IRIS is at the end because they didn't need it at the start. Hope as accepted the inclusion of this and is still feeling good

Without you here- i'm sorry who wrote this, if i wanted a middle of the road ballad i'd buy a westlife cd (bad irish boyband) i dont see the goo goo dolls anywhere in this.. it just doesnt go anywhere...at all. Hope has been Kicked

Listen- its a good robby song slowed down. but the chorus is bad. it had potential.  Hope is having a rest and regrouping

Give a Little-  i dont believe a cover should ever be on an album its bloody lazy!!!and i'm sorry but its not even that great a song. johnny has written better than this. i didn't need it on LIB, the live version was enough and i dont need it on this. and it dosn't fit either. Hope is low and hurting

Can't Let It go. hey is that 'always know were you are'.. nope but close... Its good but i heard it before i know those hooks, that melody. i dont believe this song. johnny doesn't sell it to me. is it even about anything??... i dont care...but its a catchy tune which i'll sing but by this point i was hoping for the second half of the album to kick in and this just falls short. Hope sinks lower.

We'll Be Here (when You're Gone)- is this on Gutterflower i could swear i heard this on Gutterflower..  By now i'm annoyed its not even something new i'm not sure what this is or what its trying to be I just here 'what do you need' . Hope can't see the light..

Strange Love: robby!!! has anybody seen robby.. this is bad.. thats it. thats all i can say..  If anyone should happen to see a little bass player kick him and tell him he's meant to be the up tempo one. Hope feels very strange

Become: Johnny JOHNNY!!!!!! christ what this album did not need was another power ballad. but to be fair it quite good. withoutever really achieving anything this song would have been fine if IF there hadn't been already so many mid tempo songs
Hope has grabbed dizzy up the girl and superstar carwash and is running for the door

maybe they just needed to get this out of there system all bands do at some point. but do you know what really worries me. how many songs do they write?? was this the best of 20 -30 songs or is this all they had. why would GALB be on here if they had something better instead. i dont think they did

I've been waiting until I get the actual cd to do my song by song commentary, but your opinions are disturbingly close to mine...

HAHA! Most of the hardcore goo fans love "superstar carwash" and "aboynamedgoo"....that's what we all have in common. Those who love only "Dizzyupthegirl" are what I call "vh1ers". I think it's definitely a let down for most, but the most hardcore ones would still love it if John rapped.

LLI - yes, the chorus is so wierd...odd...who the hell John been hanging with? hehe. I heard the chorus first from the ringtone link...though wierd..didn't believe it was goo, but I like it. Then I heard the whole song and was amazed. This is Goo and not goo, wierd, yet it worked..haha.

I like "better days" of course...but that's it. The others are good, but not for me. The albums is REALLY WIERD! "Enemies become brothers"Huh?? HAHAH.

oh yeah, it seems that John told the guitar to screw itself. He was the best guitar player in my opinion, but now it's like Snoop giving up weed...it's just not the same...hehe.

Hehe you can always count on Pon to voice his opinion.

I'm not too happy with it either. Apart from Stay With You and Let Love In, I'm just not feeling it.

I agree 100% with galb, i always skip over it, and i really hope it was a record company decision and not theirs to put it on the album, it really dosnt fit in at all, shame we only got 9 new songs.
The first 4 songs on the cd are really good. Songs 5-7 ordinary, 8 and 9 good and 10-11 sorta weak
I think the middle part of the cd, particulary without you here, hurt this cd a bit

After the first time listening to the album, I like most old fans of the Goos was disappointed that the album is just full of power ballads, but once I got over the fact that there wouldn't be any rock songs I didn't think it was too bad.  It's sad that there's no guitar distortion or wicked solos, but there are some good songs that will no doubt get better with time.

Can't Let it Go has to be my favourite track from the album for sure, really enjoy the acoustic rhythm of the song.  I won't dismiss this CD just yet, but I'm already yearning for the next album that's for sure Smiley

i'm disappointed to. maybe because i only listened once and on the way home from working all night but it just it's not the same. i admit i liked iris and i liked slide but when dizzy was the single that's when i became a fan. i just it's not what i'm used to. to me a majority of the songs sound just like better days. if they ran out of songs to put on the album why not dig back into the vault and put my all time favorite goo song on the cd, lazy eye just to make it a rocking cd. hopefully things will change but i swear if i have to hear become live i'm going to cringe. it just screamed cheesy 80s power ballad to me.

give a little bit doesn't bother me (and i see why it was put on the cd) but if they were going to do a remake i wish to god it was their version of american girl.

I haven't listened to the whole thing yet but, seriously, only 9 new songs?  Maybe I'll be able to make a mix CD with some b-sides they release.

i'm curious as to how this tour's set list is going to be. i remember when gf came out and we all were upset because long way down was taken out.
