It was freaking awesome! The show started at 8:30 so I was there by 6:45. The bus was already there and I parked as close to it as i could. I got in line and it was pretty short. The person at the front got there at 3:00 am and no one else got in line until 6:00. Sop we hung out in line and shot the shit with the other "fans" I say that loosely because many of the people around us had never heard of many of their song before Gutterflower. Kinda like the girl wanting to buy my extra ticket when i picked it up at the radio station who had never seen them live because thay had never been in the area, Um except for the Gutterflower tour where they began the tour and the 3 other cities not very far away when they were doing State fairs. Whatever. The poor guys looked half dead. Robby was his normal happy-jumpy self, but John seemed very tired! He was having soem trouble iwth his amps and guitars and finally just pulled the ear piece out and went on. They only played for about 45 minutes and played 7 songs, Slide, Broadway and Smash were the older songs they played the rest were from the new album. As soon as they left stage We high tailed it back to the bus area. We waited for 1 hour and 35 minutes, but they never came out. Supposedly they took them out from another entrance by van but the 2 new back up guys came out and then posed for a few pictures and went back in. I didn't leave until I the bus pulled away. The security were prety rude and didn't want anyone hanging around at all. Good thing my car was near. The best part was I was about 9 feet away from the stage. There is a mosh pit/dance floor where there was standing room. There were 2 people in front of me. I tried to elbow my way closer but didn't work. The worst part no cameras! I had a digital and they sent me back to my car with it. i walked around the corner and put it in a zippered part of my purse. They were going to allow disposable camera, but right before they began security walked around telling everyone the band said no camera and they would escort you out if you were seen with one. So if it hadn't been for taking my camera back to my car I would have been much closer. There were a bunch of people just sitting at tables and not close to the stage. I was up and as close as i could get the whole time. I lost my voice for a few hours after it from all the screaming and yelling. Definately had a WONDERFUL time!

hehe I wonder if I saw you, then. Funny story: I used to be obsessed with the GGD (still like them a lot, but somehow didn't even know they were in STL until I turned on the radio that morning). By coincidence, I decided to skip class and get coffee on the loop. I started walking aimlessly down Delmar (should probably explain that I was hung-over) and saw the crowds outside the Pageant. I asked a mom and her daughter what was going on, and wasn't I glad to hear that it was the goos, the band whose tour necklace I once refused to take off for 4 years. Too bad they couldn't come out and say 'hi.' Oh well, they're coming back to the STL this summer.
