ok, I was kind of nervous for some reason that I wasnt going to like the new goo goo dolls cd coming out. This may be because, their music couldnt have possibly touched me any deeper within my soul in the past, how could that be out done? But now here I sit reading the lyrics to the new cd bawling like a baby because I seriously do not believe anyone else can shape and mold words of the english language to form such touching emotions like they do. I no longer doubt that I am going to be in love with the new cd. Anyone feel me here?

haha...goo fans tend to be quiet i guess? I dunno...it's very hard to judge music by the lyrics. However, I do think the lyrics are better cuz it's very positive. I'm really sick of living the negative life.....being positive is always better. I like the "better days, stay with you, and love let in" so far...but I don't think it's anywhere near "aboynamedgoo". The only that came close is "big machine" which is my fave goo song. I really don't know they can top BM. In my opinion, the most real and dedicated goo fans are rooted from "aboynamedgoo, superstarcarwash, and hold me up" era. Big fans of those albums tend to like/love their other work, but "dizzy and gutterflower" are bla. I don't hear many ppl loving gutterflower and if they do, it's not like they go search goo history and love it. Same with Dizzy era which was very shorted lived. Those ppl are typical VH1 fans who just enjoy a few songs and that's it.

Oh Mom- I feel you. I'm an old one here and although I certainly am not inside Johnny's head; I can feel his change. Happy is a choice. You can always find things to be bitter about and angry about, but you can't let that consume you. I'm at a point where I can let myself get down, but happy needs to prevail so I can look back on my life and see that the glass was half full most of the time with joyful moments outweighing the crap. I think that sentiment is probably showing up in some of the Goo music. They're not angst ridden anymore....they've been there. I agree with you that John has a certain talent with putting words together to express emotions. There are definitely songs I like on their older albums, but I do LOVE Dizzy and Gutterflower - maybe I'm just a VH1-er now. Not a bad place to be! Can't wait to hear the lyrics put to music soon! GOOd fans enjoy the evolution! There's something for everyone!

I think the new album will be a great addition to the their music. They write great music. I love every single cd of theirs that I have, that includes Superstar Carwash, will be getting some of the older ones as well. This album will be good!!! I am really anxious for Let Love In to come out. After reading the lyrics, I think that this album will help me get out of my prolonged bad mood. Shannon
