I don't know if it's been mentioned or not yet, but something I noticed when viewing the lyrics to the songs off of LLI: There is not a single song written just by Robby! There are a few cowritten by both John and Robby, which may indicate possibly some songs in which both of them sing. But there isn't a single Robby piece! I know we can't tell whether or not he'll have his own songs, but this startles me. Even on GF he had some songs he wrote. I hope this isn't a sign of moving John even MORE to the forefront of the group! I love him to death but I love the chemistry of the guys more. I hope to God that there are some Robby gems on the new album despite what the lyric credits seem to indicate ...

Yeah, I hadn't noticed the whole co-writing credit before, but you're right... It'll be interesting to see whether they do have some tracks where they sing together!! I'd assume the co-writing would be along the same lines as BulletProof on DUTG, where it's still one or the other's "song" as such, they just shared ideas on it. I wouldn't think it necessarily means Robby's being sidelined, I'd hope it means (like the new website says) they're just enjoying writing together again, and it's obviously been productive for both of them! As far as being worried about Robby's songs, he DOES have some, but only 2 - Listen and Strange Love. Definitely a shame, that...but who knows the reasons? It could be that maybe he didn't bring that many to the table to begin with, he's a busy bee with other stuff going on as well nowadays. I guess we'll have to wait (just over 2 weeks left!!) and see!!

I noticed that as well... Granted I have always liked the Johnny songs a bit more, not having Robby sing his own songs is just....weird. I'm not sure if I'll like it or not, him singing added a special "touch" I am pumped for the possibility of duets tho.

i'm sure whatever the outcome concerning robby singing he's happy with. if anything it looks like they are going back to their roots of writing songs together. i think a band should release the 'strongest' of the songs they have got and if johnny wrote most of them or co-wrote them with robby then that's the way the songs fell. i would rather hear 'better' songs from the band and have no songs written by robby than 'poorer' songs just for the sake of having his songs on there. it's even possible he didn't write any songs on his own for this album.
