I just read their update from Monday. Guess it clears up a lot of questions - most of all who the major headliner will be... Sounds like they may switch at times, just hope it's the show you will be at! But now on to the business at hand ... all that is Goo. Many of you have wrote us literally freaking out over the Counting Crows fan club talking about advance ticket sales to their fan club members. One person sent me 11 emails yesterday alone ... may we recommend upping that dose from whites to blues? Couldn't hurt ... might help. Anyhow ... here's some info for you today that might help with that anxiety problem going on now, two things really: first of all, remember that a lot of these tickets will be General Admission, so hey, they get them first, big deal, it's who hits the door first, ya know? Also, and most importantly, straight from the mouth of Goo: the new Goo site, which will be premiering here damn quickly, is going to allow you to advance purchase tickets to shows in many venues ... plus there's going to be some great Meet and Greet stuff up there for ya too. So take a breath, find your inner zen, have a shot, whatever it takes, but please, let's all chill, OK? Good things coming your way, we promise. Also -- on that Counting Crows/GGD lineup: this is a co-headlining tour, with opening and closing slots changing up some nights. But don't sweat the load, you'll still get a great GGD show ... just be able to head out a little earlier, if you so desire, on some nights.

If there was a projectile vomiting smiley, I would use it right now. Oh well, I know there will be a show in Buffalo and there is no question who will 'headline' that night, so I guess I'll live. Still really hate this arrangement though...

I'm not crazy about it either. But I must say I'm grateful they're giving us the opportunity for advantage tickets and possible meet and greets. That's exciting!!!

I like some CC songs but of course I'd rather see Goo go on second.

I'm still not too sure of how I feel about this whole arrangement. And....GA....that will just be frightening. Waiting in line just for Goo shows can be a long and tiring experience....add the CC fans, and this is sure to be an interesting mix of fans....

Wait, so does anyone know for sure how big these shows are going to be? I've heard amphitheaters from one source and general admission from another -- and I know the GGD's don't usually combine those two things (at least around these parts.) I'm a little iffy on this whole collaboration too, but I'm definitely curious to see how things go.

I was thinking if Goos are not headlining, they would be doing a shorter set. According to this post on AG, it sounds like they will be splitting the sets equally, both bands doing encores. I went to one of the shows when Goos opened for Bon Jovi and it just wasn't the same as them headlining.. Guess we'll just have to wait and see how it's all going to work out. http://www.absolutegoo.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6688

If this is indeed a CO-HEADLINING tour, then sets from each band should be around the same length, including encores. I saw 3 Doors Down and Nickelback on a co-headlining tour of which they swapped who goes first and second each night. There were even additional opening acts (thornley, puddle of mudd) before the two main acts. At my show NB went first followed by 3DD. The sets were about the same, and lucky for me, I love both bands, so it was a really great show.
