Goo Goo Dolls RMA, but not Grammy?

just wondering on opinions, how can the goo goo dolls get song of the year on the RMA's but then not even a mention on the Grammy's ? (or did i miss their mention)
The closest thing to anything related to them was Greenday winning the Song(?) of the year mentioning Rob Cavallo (same producer of the goo goo dolls)

It was my understanding that the RMA's were decided upon by radio play and the Grammy's were decided upon by nominations from record companies and other people in the industry who are members, not the public. That's just what I've heard so I might be wrong but I still think they deserve a grammy.

i think that once Let Love In will come out that they will get nominations..but if you dont have an album you cant have any nomnations...but i know for sure that they will get nominated next year hopefullly !

Yeah, it's wierd. I don't pay attention to awards and I don't really value them as much cuz it's all BS. I think the goo's are great..but ya gotta wonder how much better music there is out there. Are the artists winning the award cuz they're so good, or becuz the industry set it up?

I think that they weren't nominated for a grammy was because the CD isnt out yet, and the nominations are usually in like a few months prior to the actual ceremony. Thats why i think that they weren't nominated. Don't quote me tho.
